i was expecting a little more on top from the 39.........guess its smaller than i thought.......
boost was 17psi on stocker, 19psi on vf39........
the 39 pulls good, not up top like i thought it would, the boost falls to about 15psi at redline. I think im just disappointed that i only gained about 14 ft lbs.

35WHP going from a TD04 to VF39 is not that bad. What did you expect? It is pretty well known that the VF39 does not flow as good as the VF30/34 up top.

Yeah, for the mods you have...most 30/34's dont get numbers quite that good.

looks like a pretty good improvement under the curve from 3750-6500 overall.
Congrats.

great numbers...if you had to do it all over again, would you have still gone with the 39, or skip it for something bigger? Does the 39 feel alot faster? thanks
i have been thinking about the 39, or save up for a bigger block and turbo.

damn looks like u lost 50 lb-ft at 3000 rpm.
is it that noticable in daily driving situations?

its actually not that noticable, but the power definately comes on later in the rpm. The car is hella faster though, for sure.
But i do want my torque back...........ill prolly get the vf37 twin scroll setup in the future, it is suppose to generate the torque earlier and more plentiful

Have you ever considered port/polishing your exhaust manifolds, and TB?
They're all relatively easy to get access to, and once you see inside you'll be sick with how poorly the stock machining is. I heatwrapped my UP at the same time, and saw spool time drop by about 500rpm. Well worth the time spent.

Talk to Jerry (Deadbolt) about your desires. He has some double secret probation stock turbos that will spool at idle and hit like a bigger turbo. My "normal" Deadbolt stock turbo gets full boost at 3000 RPM.
