Hard to tell though with all the other mods. I guess you can search for STi's modded the same without headers and see if you can see a difference.

I've got headers on mine. Do yourself a favor and wrap 'em before you put them on. Because of their location, air flowing through the radiator hits the headers, cooling them down (at least that is what I can see looking underneath the car.)

They will make your exhaust louder, in case you weren't aware.

I am one of the first guys that had the Borla headers installed in my WRX whenever they launched around Nov-Dec 2002, they were for sale for only $299. The first units were tough to install, they were not power coated.

I got mine from a SUBARU dealer that advertizes under the MRT-rally website, I think they are in California. The headers shipped to my house veru fast, good shipping container and a Borla hat. This headers were significantly lighters than the stock ones.

Now lets talk about power increases. This Subaru delaers installed them in a bone stock 03 WRX and got a 9.9whp power increase, they also had the same headers on a light modded WRX and got an increase of around 13 or 15whp.

I personally noticed an increase on power, my boss use to race me on his WS6 Trans am and use to beat me from a roll a a small diference. The day that I put the Headers I was walking on him by a little, I guess that it was the turning point in which the headers made the difference.

I want to say that I had a full 3"TB, CAI,MBC, STI scoop , samco hoses and the headers when I beat my boss's WS6

They allow you to run more timing in your topend since you won't hav as much backpressure. This results in more power, but is only really truly tapped with proper tuning or resetting your ecu and driving hard.

count on about 25hp w/proper tuning

i got xx tuning headers i wrote a reveiw of them in the car parts section on this forum they are still working great only thing is i didn't have an EGT gauge so i had to trim a 1.25mm bolt to fill the up-pipe bung and i had to shave some off my frame underneath to keep the headers from hitting it. thats all they work great sound great and definatly noticed and improvement.

I got my SSAuto headers two days after winning on E-bay.

WOW, sweet headers. Awsome quality. All welds have been smoothed inside and outside of joints. Three multi purpose bungs. All bungs have double plugs, take out center for EGT, or take out big plug for O2. $225 for equal legnth and up-pipe, and all gaskets. Sweet Jebus. Finish is the best I've seen.

I thought you got banned. I see you are back and post at the same rate. 25 per day.

On topic: Yeah the headers made my car feel faster on the freeway. If they are a good price it can't hurt, you can always sell them.

SS autochrome (shudder). Worst quality I've ever seen. Haven't had one NOT crack on any car. Flanges are usually warped.

Good quality, properly designed turbo manifold would be worth investing in. Having had the stock manifolds off of my car to remove loose heatshields and wrap the manifold the design is kind of crapy from the factory. I see room for improvements. Try-Y design is suposed to be pretty good, again, designed properly.
