So, I went back to the stock BCS with StreetTuner. I was using a GM BCS, however, it was giving inconsistent behaviour. I'm having a problem hitting target boost now, though- I think it has to do with the porting of the turbo I did. I found some threads talking about the Monster turbos from Deadbolt needing different restrictor pills as well. I'm guessing I need a slightly smaller pill- with a WG duty cycle of 90% I can just hit about 15 psi. I tried adjusting the WG actuator a bit and after 4 (360 degree) turns, this was all I could get.
Does anyone know:
1 - What the stock TD04 restrictor pill size is.
2 - Where I can get a smaller one.
3 - If I could use two of the stock TD04 pills to achieve target boost.
Any input welcome.
Thanks!
Mike
Stock TD04 is 1.2mm or .0472"
Cobb used to tune with a 1.1mm and I think Vishnu tunes with a smaller pill.
Try them out for a pill supply.

Terminology is key here. 99% of the time I hear/see pill, it is referring to the item inside the factory boost vacuum line (not visible).
Vishnu most definitely does not tune/change this pill.
If you are referring to the coupler fitting with bleed hole, that's another thing.

I'm talking about the little thing in the hose between the compressor and the T to the BCS and WG actuator.
I'll ask around.
Thanks!

Thats the same little brass pill I'm thinking of.
You're right on Vishnu. They change the coupler not the pill, but in this thread you'll see them call it a restrictor, coupler, bleeder and pill.

Cobb supplies (at least they used to)the hose with pill inside if needed to bring up boost.

I don't think cobb gives them out anymore, because they've tuned around the stock pill, you could try to hit'em up. What about a spring on the WG in addition to the turns?

CrazyMikie can you let me know if you find some pills I've tried machining some but it's way to small for my equipment...and I'm having boost issue on 2.5

Let's see...
I tried the wastegate adjustment...what I got was higher boost in the midrange, but then it fell off around 4500 rpm. I could keep cranking the thing down, but the car didn't see happy.
I thought about the bleeder- I thought I remember reading something negative about it. I can't think/remember what it would be, though. I figured if I could get the right pill I would have better results. Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
I may have found some- I'll let y'all know if I do. I ordered some drill bits as well since I may have to drill them out.
Stupid boost bleed system things.... :furious:
