ok I have an 05 rex, w/ a dp,up,catback, bov, intake, and a mbc. i know i need an ems and i want the utec, but it is way too pricey for me and i was looking for something a little more affordable to hold me down for now, i plan on getting more mods and reflashing my ecu will get very expensive if i keep sending it back, are there any ems' out there that wont leave me broke? any help is greatly appretiated...

Cobb's AP is about half the price of a UTEC, and doesn't require any tuning. You could do that for now and upgrade to the street tuner in the future if you so care to.

I would suggest you get some sort of EM quick. with your list of mods on a 05 you could be seriously fing something up.

Also, maybe the unichip. I have an APS unichip that I would let go ultra cheap. I used it for a while and loved it. I have UTEC now.

do i have to tune that chip or does it come w/ a basic map on it? if it can accomodate to all my mods i'll prolly pick that up from you, and how much would you let it go for? thanks...

first take the MBC off NOW

if you live near a ecutek tuner -ecutek other wise you are just wasting money and downtime with a mail in reflash
otherwise AP

Dibs on your salvageable parts! With the known OL/CL delay in 04+ ECUs, and the known PTFB issues with MBCs and no management, your car is a ticking time bomb. Search on all the terms I used above that you don't understand. You obviously didn't before you started...

You need a custom tune for your mods, or take off the MBC, BOV, and intake, then put stock BPV and airbox on and get the cobb ap.

Like everyone said, you are playing with fire. I hope you dont ruin your new car

Good Luck
