This is bascially a help me pick an amp thread. I have the CDT EF-61CFi/24 speakers, and it was recomended I use an amp with at lease 150w RMS. I haven't bought an amp in years, so I just don't know what to get. I'd like for it to go under the front seat.
So what are some recomended 2 channel amps up to the $300 range?

I'm starting to lean toward the nine.2 from Elemental Designs.

According to the CDT rep that posts on thier forums, it should have more than enough power to drive my speakers.

Oh c'mon V6...be useful ;)
And that amp should match up fine.
I'm running my EF-61CFi's on 150-200w rms, but when I change amps I'm dropping down to 100w rms. I don't think it'll change their sound in any noticable way.

Since I have no idea what to buy, and am willing to spend up to $300, what would you recomend?

I'm using an MBQuart RAA2400 from crutchfield. So far it sounds great. It's powering Focal 165V components which are only rated for I think 75-90W or so, and the MBQuart is putting out 200 x 2 at 4 ohms, but I have the gains down and so far they sound great. Here's a Link (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-7T5PTDCSAh0/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?wm=fp&I=049RAA2400&g=110) if you're interested.

I'm currently running them bridged off of an alpine 3555 from circa 1990. It's a 50x4, or 200x2 @ 4ohm.
I'm going to be replacing that with an MBQuart RAA4200 I bought from crutchfield a while back.

Yeah, As we discussed on AIM, sell that/trade it with someone for a RAA2400. That's what you really want. My prob is that I bought the amps before I bought the CDT's, so I just bought a lot of power.
I have somone lined up to trade my 4200 with for their 2400 (same guy who sold me the CDT's).
You should be able to ebay it and use that cash to get a 2400 and sitll have $$ left over.
It's better than bridging and making a mistake and cooking your woofers.
