i have a 04 wrx with an upgraded security system (did not pay for the option). this weekend my car started acting different. most 04's when you hit the lock button once the light blink (mine does not, as of this weekend) hit lock button again should blink (mine does not) then the third time lights blinks and horn sounds ( mine does). also, a security light on my dash blinks when the car is not on. i have had the car for over 1 1/2 years and this all started this past weekend. discuss/help and any and all opinions are needed. thanks.

Probably in valet mode. With the drivers door open, hold down the unlock button on the remote for a few seconds to cancel this mode and return the alarm operation to normal.
