View Full Version : any experiences (good or bad) with subaruparts.com? Eric SS 08-08-2001, 01:22 AM ... caino 08-08-2001, 01:25 AM i requested some info on parts about a week ago... no reply via email or phone, or anything... caino Gerlando 08-08-2001, 01:30 AM I ordered a sway bar and a boost gauge on two seperate occasions and with both items I recieved an email stating they had recieved the order. It took a couple of days before they actually shipped them out, but I got both products in a fairly short time. I'd say they're response time is definately better then the response time on some of the group buys going on in the vendors area ;) -Gerlando. http://www.clubSTi.com LordBass 08-08-2001, 01:31 AM Still waiting for delivery on items ordered July 16. According to tracking it should arrive Thursday. There was a two week delay as they ordered a fog light kit from Subaru. I wouldn't have known that if I didn't email after a week to ask about the status. They didn't offer an approximate shipping date. Poor communication thru the website, no phone number, shipping from Washington state (long trip to NH), and barely better email communication from any human. I will not be ordering from them again. (I'll go thru Exeter Subaru from now on, which I should have done in the first place). You'll get your stuff eventually. LB www.trancelab.com TriniTuner 08-08-2001, 01:35 AM As Glenn once mentioned, I think that if you order from them, be sure to do so over the phone.... supermarkus 08-08-2001, 01:39 AM I've had nothing but good experiences with subaruparts.com. Granted, they aren't the most communicative vendor out there, but I always got my part within 10 days of ordering it. Of course, I do live in Washington state :D b_tapper 08-08-2001, 01:43 AM subaruparts.com is a good company they are just sooooooo slooooow Brian aov 08-08-2001, 01:58 AM I asked for my tracking number today on some parts I ordered last Thursday and they replied to my e-mail the same day. Unfortunately, when I went to the UPS page to track my parts it said they were delivered to some guy in California already!!!??? Hopefully they gave me the wrong tracking number! I'll find out tomorrow. -Anders MagicMT 08-08-2001, 01:59 AM I've ordered from them twice online. I got email confirmations and my part in about 10 days. I think they're pretty decent. I'd definitely order from them again. Mike srosqvist 08-08-2001, 03:06 AM I purchased the trunk light. Had no problems at all and recieved it when I expected it. Product was also in great condition when received. Subenit in a 2.5RS HoratioCaine 08-08-2001, 03:21 AM Since we're asking about them again, I'll answer again. 1) Ordered the SPT shift kit for the RS off of their website... got confirmation email. Days later no charge to card, no other info. Emailed. Nothing. Emailed again this time letting them know I was bashing them on the i-club... immediate responce. They never got the order. It was lost in never never land between the time I placed the order and the time their system processed it. 2) Emailed inquiring about oil filters/crush rings and MBNA coupons. I believe it was 7 weeks later I got a responce. Seven WEEKS to answer a pair of yes/no questions. Forget it. Not worth the hassle. Deal with Lisa @ subaruparts.homestead.com/subaruparts.html instead. Instant replies to email. I haven't heard anything but good about her. There was some buy from overseas that took a long time, but I don't know much about it. For WA residents it's cheaper to order from Lisa anyway. No sales tax. Shipping is included in her prices. litoljon 08-08-2001, 04:44 AM i didn't have any major problems with subaruparts.com i ordered my tailights and a shirt on wednesday, they called me friday since there was a problem with my credit card. fixed the problem and i got the taillights by tuesday (2-day air to CA). NO shirt though. hmm....maybe out of stock. it's all good, at least my rear end is covered even if i don't have a shirt. ->arthur cvalle-sd 08-08-2001, 05:02 AM I inquired a few times for parts, and have only received one reply. I recently (2-3wk) asked about an RS hood, and they never responded. Screw them. mr_disco 08-08-2001, 05:32 AM Subaruparts is fine. They just won't answer emails. You need to call them. When you order you get a receipt with a phone number. Use that. They are a bit slow. Subaruaccessories.com is also pretty good, at least if you've ordered before they will take more off the prices on the website. Subie Gal 08-08-2001, 10:25 AM was never able to place an order.... called... and called... FINALLY someone answers the phone.... just to put me on hold for 10 minutes??? nope. that's poor customer service. and dont bother emailing, they dont return emails either... j. www.subiegal.com BigElm 08-08-2001, 10:33 AM They're good...I've only dealt with Scott...though I don't know if his newly two man staff has improved customer service. True...they are not good at answering emails...I always catch him in the early morning...and I've never had a bad experience with them.... I guess it's been hard for them to meet the demand...their prices are really good...but their service needs some improving, as per other people's experience. ;) damianq 08-08-2001, 10:43 AM Wow, A post from Subiegal and no smilies. She ain't kidding! travman733 08-08-2001, 11:15 AM Bought the engine and electrical WRX shop manuals from them with no problems. Emailed about whether they sell the little DIN sized pocket for the center console...two weeks and still nothin'. Hozay 08-08-2001, 01:30 PM i ordered a bra from them... got it lickety split no sht! Eric SS 08-08-2001, 03:02 PM cool. I looked on the sight today and it says "Your order was placed on 8/7 from Subaru" or something. Now that that is done, maybe I will get an email stating about how long It will take :) Eric |
