I was just wondering if any of you know how to disable the air-conditioning cycle feature.....you know when the compressor turns on and off while driving?
I dont like the engine power surges you get while at a constant RPM on the highway....and I dont like it when the compressor shuts off and blows outside temp air on me! I want to control it with that little A/C button on the dash.
I figure it's a relay I've got to replace...any ideas?
Thanks.

I think if you run the compressor full time you'll freeze it and it won't work anymore. The condensation will turn into a thick layer of ice.

I'm not too concerned with the compressor freezing... after all I don't use it unless it's excessively hot. And when I do use it, the air will be 40 degrees C when it passes over the comp. / condenser.
But thanks for the concern.....
Any one with any ideas as to what can be done??

It will freeze up.
It turns on and off to protect from that and because the temp has reached a desired temp.
but its your car. There must be a t-stat or sensor somewhere in the ducts, just remove that from the ducts and put it in the engine compartment. That will keep the compressor on!
Someone with shop manuals should be able to tell you if there is a sensor or not.

I modded my air conditioning radiator thing with my block...
When it slipped loose from the tranny, it proceeded forward punching a hole in the air conditioning radiator thing. It then continued to spray for about 2 hours while I cleaned my motor bay. That's ok right? for health?
