OK...called the dealer about the pair of WRX's in the lot that I saw on Sunday. Anyway, I asked him when they were ordered and he said he didn't know. But he did know that the Outback Wagon that was ordered at the same time as mine was on the truck on its way to them. So he said that my car should be here any day.
Now...is there any substance to this? do they make all subarus off the same line? are there different factories that make different models?
From my experience with dealers, his word aint worth ****e. But you can always hope!
Tats.
The phrase "Hope for the best but expect the worst" in my experience always applies when dealing with car dealerships.

I see you're from MI. There's a few dealers in SE MI that haven't the slightest clue about the cars they sell. ALL Legacys are built in Lafayette In. ALL Imprezas and ALL Foresters are built in Gumna Japan. No exceptions. There is no relationship between the Legacy Outback your dealer says is on a truck and the WRX on order except maybe the deposits were left on the same day. Having sold Subarus for the last 4 years I can tell you that Imprezas take 2 months plus or minus 10 days and Legacys take 1 month +/- 10 days. If you ordered your WRX a month or more ago then it should be showing up on your dealers Pipeline report. Ask them to look.
