People finally realized you dont need a big slow clumbsy fuel hog to get AWD and ruggedness ( sp? ) By the way what is the abbreviation for Subaru Stock? Even though sales are up, I liv ein Nor Cal, and I still rarely see another RS. I see more Type R's than RS's which is amazing based on the shear small muber of ITR's made Vs. RS's

Iowannaski,
I totally agree. I read that sentance five or six times and I have no clue. The closest I can figure is that the 266% is for July this year v. last year and the 39% is year to date last year v this year.

You would need to look up Fuji Heavy Industries stock since they are the parent company. But buy that stock would also have you playing the exchange rate game.

wow, imagine that. When you quite pandering to Greenpiss, The Sahara Club, and other tree hugging groups, and embrace your performance roots (ie WRX) look how many more cars SOA can sell. Just think if they would import or make a true Legacy GT, not some over-equipped "L" model. Give the US a 230 hp Legacy and then watch as SOA sales continue to go up!

What a masterful analysis of Subaru's strategy. They've clearly paved the way to growth by abandoning the tree-huggers and focusing solely on the performance market. The fact that both Outback and Impreza sales are both up clearly illustrates that. Good thing they've seen the light with the whole lesbian thing as well. I look forward to more astute observations from you in the future.

Subaru hasn't abandoned the tree-huggers at all, they've just given us North Americans what the rest of the world has had for years: a turbo in an Impreza.

If anything, Subaru ownership is polarizing into the tree-hugging "I want an AWD non-SUV" type Outback people and the "gimme more boost NOW dammit/I wanna be Richard Burns" WRX people.

A guy I work with bought an '02 OBS a few weeks before I got my TS. As I grilled him about the car he proceeded to tell me that he got the OBS because, and I swear, "it fits my lifestyle". I puked. He works in marketing, what do you expect?
At least he bought a Subaru...

LB, who's TS "fits hits lifestyle" *puke*

Don't trip! We have gained on the market.
Subaru has been reconized by the masses. It is the perfect car! Traction is what it is all about and people are realizing that.
This only makes us stronger!
I dig it when I see another Scooby on the road and they "get it!"
There is nothing like Scooby v.s. Scooby!

I talk to people all the time that freek when I tell them I'm going to lower my 2002 OBS. They don't understand all wheel drive.
They say "then you won't be able to off road." Duh! Traction matters more to me on tarmac than dirt right now!

Oy vey!!! :D:D:D:D
