I have piaa super white platinum h3's and h4's.So far no trouble and they've been in for a year.I've been told that a higher wattage bulb can damage the headlight housing causing cracks or melting. So I would stick with recommended wattage. The piaa bulbs are 55w but perform like an 85w bulb. They do shine brighter than a standard halogen and I've been pleased with mine. The down side is they tend to burn out prematurely but I have only had 1 of my h3's to burn out in a year.
