View Full Version : Gauging interest - Set of 4 SSR GT2's
mesaro 07-12-2005, 10:20 AM Well, I traded my WRX a few months ago for a Forrest XT. I debated on putting the wheels on the Forrester, but now am just thinking to sell em.
I have a set of 4 18x8.5" 48+ SSR GT2's, silver, no centercaps, wrapped in Kumho MX's. I had them on the car for at most 9 months (mar-possibly oct). Never raced on them, maybe spirited driving once in awhile, but still a good amount of tread. One of the wheels has a very slight bit of curb rash, maybe 2 inches long at most, but mainly on the edge of the rim. No pics at this time, but I can get some up if anyone is interested. I'm looking to get $1600 ($1400!! UPDATED) for them... I paid about $2200 for the rims & tires together.
Just thought I'd throw this out to see if anyone is interested. PM me if you are. Thanks!
RaceComp Engineering 07-12-2005, 01:49 PM THATS A NICE PRICE...anyone who is intersted,..I had these wheels and hit a pot hole in DC and just SWORE I bent a rim......NOPE !! These are forged and lightweight. 17.0 lbs. The sti wheels are 16.8....so this is a great deal. Mine were gold and that was too bling for me and the JDM thing got played after a while with white on gold. But these are SILVER and nice.
Myles
MidnightSti05 07-12-2005, 02:03 PM do they fit the 05 sti? no right? :(
mesaro 07-12-2005, 11:35 PM Thanks for the good word Myles! :D
As far as them fitting an 05 sti, I would assume so, but don't quote me on that. I had them on a 02 WRX lowered on Eibach's without any rubbing whatsoever. Oh, but they are 5x100, I don't recall if that was changed on the 05 sti's.
Also, for those that asked for pics, I have them wrapped in trashbags to keep em kinda clean so I'll unwrap them tomorrow and take pics for ya.

Nope, 05 has different spacing on the bottom front strut and bolt pattern.

Yup, that's what I'm lookin for. Honestly they're hardly driven on. I have an 11 mile commute to work and I rarely take long trips anywhere.

GTWORX.com 01-19-2006, 09:50 AM I am not jacking at all, but I am in the same boat, I bought these AGAIN in silver, and minehave Pirelli Corsa's on them with 700 miles and I cant get a six pack and a chicken wing for them it seems. Its difficult when you paid big bucks for it and some guy comes along and offers something rediculous for it. I may just have the lips on mine polished or get that hyper "spec-B" wheel finish done to them and keep them. ITs not worth the HIT you take.

Anonymouse20910 01-19-2006, 01:02 PM Winter isn't a good time to sell summer pimpin wheels. You're open to being lowballed. I wouldn't mind trading for silver's, as my gold's are growing old on me. Come to think of it, the car is growing old on me. Such is life in the 30's. Good luck to you both.
Bump.

Jump on these, guys - GT2s are fantastic, well built, light wheels. I got SO many compliments with mine.
RaceComp Engineering 01-20-2006, 01:19 AM Mesaro e-mail me, so after I do sell mine, WHEN I still get calls, and thats what ALWAYS happens after you finally sell them,...I can send them to you, OR vise versa. I had some guy call a month ago about my BBS RE's from 2004
