Well we've finally gone through several months of testing our carbon composite braking components. We've still got several different tests to complete.
For reference, the factory STi rotor weighs in ~22.50lbs.
Our 2-piece Carbon Composite brake disc being the same physical dimensions (326mm x 30mm) is only a feathery 5.26lbs that's a 17.24lb/corner weight reduction in the fronts! :)
Compared to the factory Porsche & Ferrari Carbon Composite braking components; our testing has shown that we should be able to use "regular" race or street compound pads with our carbon composite rotors; so there should be no need to use carbon-ceramic specific pads.
Please note; these rotors are designed and intended for those who're about achieving the pinnacle of performance out of their car. These are NOT cheap. The initial projected cost will be close to $6500US/pair.
