Whew. Done finally.
Installed Borla coated headers, Defi-D EGT and Oil Temp gauge, inside a Lotek A-pillar Pod.
Borla Headers
It was harder to get the freakin' front O2 sensor off than anything else today. Ended up breaking down and buying an O2 slotted socket. The whole reason it sucked was FHI decided to put a flange around the O2 nut (unlike the rear O2, go figure  ), so, you couldn't get at it without using that tool.
Everything else went fine.
Can't comment on power yet, plus I'll be tuning them with Streettuner anyway.
Defi-D gauges with Lotek A-Pillar
I don't like the Lotek pillar. The paint matches in color, but not in luster, the top gauge pod points in a different direction than the lower one, and it doesn't really fit all that well. Plus, no clue how you'd EVER drill a pilot hole for the lower mount point. The gauges look good though. I don't think Defi makes them anymore though. They sweep nice, and the EGT gauge is very responsive.
One good hint on the gauge install. There is a blank grommet in the lower part of the firewall, that comes out right by the steering column. Very easy to use to get the wires into the engine bay. Also, I used the clock for all power connections, with 3M splice tabs, so, no cutting/stripping.
Overall, it was a long day 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. This was with two people working in different areas at times. I take my time.
