Hi,
I just got the cobb cai and stromung dual tip exhaust installed.
The sound is so sexy.
But....., I do get the subi burp from time to time. Is it because of the cai and a bad fuel to air ratio? Should I reset the ECU? Would that possibly help?

Yes, you should reset the ECU to get maximum benefits from your mods as soon as possible. However, the "burps" are just part of the deal and nothing to worry about. Now that you don't have so many resonators you will hear things like that.

This is what I found and used to decide on this exhaust. Sounds just the same, sorry, I don't feel like going through all the trouble of recording my own (getting a mic). kamil212.com/subaru/stromung.mp3 (http://kamil212.com/subaru/stromung.mp3)

I thought that we only have one resonator on our exhaust. I checked under my car, and it looks like one pre-cat on the end of the header, two cats, and then a resonator on the mid-pipe. I am going to order a "quiet" header back from ION. (am writing the check today since the wife is out of town. ) Will the header back "burb?" What would have to be done to prevent it from "burping." I think the system has a single cat and single a resonator.

Pretty sure your midpipe has a resonator at the front end, that looks like a cat, and then a resonator further back, that actually looks like a resonator.
I'm not sure how to get rid of that "burping" as I kind of like it. However, I imagine if you put in a really long resonator and a really quiet axelback you might muffle it all out. I have borlas, stromung resonated mid pipe and an SPT axelback. I get it sometimes, but nothing major.

freeride, does cobb catbak have midpipe resonator on it, or is it a straight pipe?

"The system features a resonated mid-pipe leading to a high-volume stainless steel muffler..."
