jedi_master 07-26-2005, 09:37 AM What's L7?
iamrazor 07-26-2005, 09:41 AM those are the JDM legacy emblems.
sm1tnwes 07-26-2005, 11:00 AM isn't it "LT"?
I always thought it was Legacy Touring
subysouth 07-26-2005, 01:24 PM Theyve been around a while. We used to call them the jdm double L badges. I think they first showed up on the BD/BGs.

andrewanderson 07-26-2005, 04:06 PM I've not seen those before. That is kind of cool.
fibuz 07-26-2005, 04:38 PM I should really buy some...or one.

It is L7 I believe. Explaination here: http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showpost.php?p=100076
fibuz 07-26-2005, 05:02 PM I wonder if the 05 'subaru' emblems are bigger than previous year...thats about my only aprehension.
Any idea if they'd fit on a BE?
subysouth 07-26-2005, 06:17 PM AFAIK its not L7 or LT, its two Ls.

meh, oh well. thanks

Actually you are wrong. They are stock on JDM Legacys, but in a different shape. Instead of an oval they look like this...

lovin' those sideskirts
Hiroki Tada 07-26-2005, 08:34 PM doubt it. I've never seen one for the BE
actually the double L grilles are probably the easiest to find for a BE/BH b/c of previously mentioned reasons.

That is quite a claim. Most unique BE in AZ. I think you owe us some pics to back that up.
HF|[S]Devil 07-27-2005, 05:51 AM Andrewanderson:
The difference in the JDM tail lamps and the USDM tail lamps are:
- Turn signal area is clear with amber bulb on JDM while the USDM has amber turn signal area with clear bulb
- JDM tail lamps are smoked while USDM tail lamps arent
- (I think) The JDM says Legacy across the middle instead of Subaru on the USDM
Also the reason that Fibuz has a very unique Legacy is beacuase he lives by GR8wheels and gets a bunch of JDM stuff. I hate you every day for living by them.

Not enough differance to sell me on them. We can have the lights smoked here and I can swap out for a clear bulb that blinks amber. I will have to look at our Legacy again but I do not think there is an amber section on the taillights.
iamrazor 07-27-2005, 07:47 AM I agree with andrew on the tails.
though I'd love to get ahold of those bumpers / grilles / sideskirts...
anyone in Japan listening???
omahasubaru 07-27-2005, 08:50 AM L7 badge you say?
Had this one since 2002! :p

iamrazor 07-27-2005, 09:09 AM where the **** did you get that? :furious:
/me wants one.
Ok I'm confused, from that pic it looks like the oval badges would work fine on my '02
Radio Flyer 07-27-2005, 11:26 AM I believe that the badge would fit fine on The BE series cars, and most likely on the BDs as well. The 05 GT guys that bought/sold them were mentioning that this badge is ever-so-slightly smaller than the stock grill badge.
Do note that the badges have a greenish hue to them, and the Lightning Bolt (the "L7") has gold in it. Not to fear though, as I would expect that this badge can be completely repainted just like the stock grill badge.
That said, I'm still gonna hold out for the Lightning Bolt Shield badge shown in the previous pics.

Eric I am pretty sure the BE/BH badges are bigger than the BD/BG badges. I was gonna swap the BE/BH connected stars badge with blue field for my black field badge, but it was too large to fit.
IIRC cardin555 bought a few of the BD/BG double L badges for some people here and the field is a nice dark blue too.
I'll see if I can dig up a pic of the JDM BD/BG badge.

How difficult is it to repaint the badge? My wife would be interested in getting the L7 badge in STi pink and black to match her car.

It's been some time since I did it... As I recall, I had some nail polish remover available and it took the black/charcoal paint right off the inside of the badge. you do need to be a little careful as it will remove the chrome of the stars/lightning bolt/ 'i'/etc. Just slather your paint color of choice on it and all that's left to do is to reattach it.
Click here (http://members.nasioc.com/ViewMemberPics.cfm?MemberID=143&PicNumber=3) for a pic w/ badge painted matching Rio Red. (Note: I've since reverted to stock badge as the red is just a bit too much with the painted Morettes.)
