ive had about 4 pair of platnium 1 step colder ngk sparkplugs and they last about 1-2weeks before i start getting knock again. I heard that the iridiums are the best/ you cant even use platnium in dsm's because they have the same problem with them so if anyone has any input i would apreciate it!

1. There is no best plug or we'd all be running the same plug.
2. Post in the right forum.
3. Read the stickies in the right forum.

Spark Plug FAQ (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=5927874), this should get you started.....moving....

I say no to iridiums. "somehow" all 4 of my coilpacks blew shortly after installing them. You got utec...tune the knock out.

Ditto, I had iridiums installed...had problems at higher boost with hesitation on the colder NGK plug PFR7G. Pruven Performance in Milford CT changed them out for stock NGK plugs when they dyno'd the car (310hp). They said that stock NGK's are what they use on their drag cars & that they had also had problems with the iridium plugs. When you're running higher boost the plug gap becomes crucial. Make sure gap is .028" SUBARU installed my other plugs & the bozo's had the gap @ ~.045"

Ditto, I had problems with the iridiums as well, went back to NGK coppers one step colder (BKR7E) @ .028", utec vf30 car 19psi fmic, no problems

copper seems to be the best bet but plan on changing them every 7500-10000 miles
