i have the engine sitting in my garage waiting to go in my rs, and i was told that the engine ran. but i want to just make sure everything is cool before i go ripping stuff apart. i know its not seized, i can turn it over with a rachet. but i want to make sure the timing belt wasnt broken and the valves arent bent. i have no way of cranking the engine fast enough to test compression, so i geuss im gonna just have to check the timing for now. i saw the timing marks near the crank pulley, but can someone give me a quick description on how to check the timing? and as far as compression, i geuss im gonna have to wait until there is a starter on the engine to check it. but any help would be appreciated, thanks, kyle
