I am wondering where the intertia fuel cut off is in my 2002 WRX? A few of my old cars had a nice intertia switch that you could trip, shutting off the fuel pump circuit. Does it even have one?

AFAIK, no....does not.

Damn.

I am suprised there is no inertia switch. I thought that there was a federal regulation specifying some kind of fuel cut off for impacts of a certain minimum magnitude.

....it is all about the ECU.....if the engine stalls, the fuel pump stops.

My '95 Probe had a cutoff.....last car I owned that did, I think.

You can crash a car and not make the engine stall and you can have fuel spilling out on the ground and not have the engine stall.
