Before i give it my rating as far as looks wanted to see what people thought.

Well, I've owned one for a few weeks and just about 2K miles.
The looks of the car are subjective. Go to the Edmunds forums and you'll see people love it or hate it. The car has character. Most people agree that the interior is great and it is. My wife and I love the looks, but some people prefer the roads more often traveled. The B9 won't blend in with MDXs and X5s. I get a ton of compliments on this car, but the folks who hate it certainly don't say anything!
The B9 is VERY comfortable to drive, much like the Lexus RX330 or MDX, but it handles quite a bit better than either. The B9 outhandles all but the BMW X5 offering a slightly more luxury oriented ride. On the other hand, I think there's still a bit too much body roll, so I don't fully agree with some comments about it.
The MDX and Pilot are front wheel platforms that lack the B9s AWD ability, but the Lexus and X5 are worthy competition and also warrant a careful look.
As for power, I have no real complaints with the B9. It can use more torque and it will come with later models, but this is an SUV 1st and foremost, not a WRX. On the highway, with it's manual mode shifting and fun handling, it's certainly not a dull ride. I've had it up to 120MPH and I'm very impressed with it's composure along with it's tossability at lower speeds. Since I will be trading up again in 24 months, I'm not at all worried about the B9 getting more power. Maybe a turbo will be offered.
BIG COMPLAINTS: I don't like the rearward view, no telescoping wheel, no seat memory for drivers seat, ultra cheap cargo cover, small subwoofer in otherwise great audio system, no Ipod connection without DVD option, DVD Option is poorly designed (especially for small kids) so install your own.
At the end of the day, the B9 Tribeca was a great move for us. No SUV anywhere near the price really matched up. It's also a Subaru, which counts for a lot with some folks.
Buying a car is pretty subjective. The current crop of crossover SUVs are very well done, all with their own personalities and advantages. You have to look at the options and choose what's right for you. Choosing the Murano, X5, RX330, Tribeca...honestly you'd probably be pretty happy with any of them if it fits your tastes.

You lucky bastard, all I can do is be envious! :(

When I get me employment situation takn care of, and the bills get taken care of, I will resume my plans of purchasing one. My wife and I took one for a test drive last weekend, and even she fell in love with the car after taking it for a drive. Now she's Tribeca happy. Everytime we see a car in the Tribeca's class, she says "is that one?". She is definetely more into it now than ever before.

What color Tribeca do you have? Have pics of your ride?

My wife is LEGALLY blind so she has reduced vision and can't drive. However, the Tribeca DOES look similar to a lot of vehicles, namely the Nissn Murano. Funny thing is my two daughters (ages 3 and 6) say the same thing everytime they see a Tribeca-like vehicle. :lol:

It looks very similar to another minivan/suv, I cant remember which one-I see the other one all the time, and the first time a b9 drove by, I didn't realize it was a tribeca until I saw the subie symbol. I guess as far as looks go, it's rather like the baja-love it or hate it. I'm not big on the b9's front end myself...
