Both really great guys. Soob 08-16-2001, 04:07 AM This is the Mazda/Subaru dealership, right? litoljon 08-17-2001, 12:06 AM yep, this is the mazda/saab/subaru dealership. i got my RS from there 2 months ago and had a plesant experience. i had my 1st oil change today and i was out in less than 30 mins. great place! ->arthur Soob 08-17-2001, 12:54 PM Cool :) I've always wondered about that dealership, especially since I work pretty close to it. Yay! Another place I can go take care of my Sube! ImprezaWRXDriver 08-20-2001, 04:15 AM It is pretty much the only dealership that I trust my car with. For me it is a 45min drive out there from Santa Barbara, but with the service and quality, it is definitely worth it. Sev 08-20-2001, 04:22 AM Cool sales dept and shawn in parts is very helpfull. I work down the street from them but have yet to have them do service to my ride. I have gone to suby specialists they were great........ ImprezaWRXDriver 09-22-2001, 02:52 AM Just got my StopTech brake kit installed today by them and my HKS Turbo Timer. They do a great job and will really take care of your car. They will go the extra mile needed for your car. They are into serious performance and can get almost anything. boysetsfire 10-02-2001, 06:23 PM got my rs from them too...they were very nice people and since i didnt need the "stereo system" they took it off the price and let me keep it anyways. The Artist 10-19-2001, 12:13 AM Kewl.. they sound like a good dealership. I bought my 3g Eclipse @ the Thousand Oaks place, and they weren't that bad. monoboy 10-27-2001, 02:18 AM Thanx for your feedback on Thousand Oaks Subaru. I'm headed there tomorrow to look at a WRX. I was bracing myself to have to deal with the usual slimy dealership people. ImprezaWRXDriver, maybe we could hook up at some point. Seeing as how we are both in the same town. Thanks again, Mono' monoboy 11-15-2001, 09:42 PM I just wanted to post a quick follow up about my dealing with Thousand Oaks Subaru. I have nothing but good things to say about Mike Toby and Thousand Oaks. Gave me great no BS pricing, and cash for my trade-in, sight un-seen. To top it off they delivered the car to my house (I'm about 80 miles away), and drove away with my trade-in. Also, this dealership is mod friendly. When test driving cars, one of the Imprezas on the lot had an Injen intake, some type of exhaust, and Prodrive wheels. All installed at the dealership. And instead of on-hold music, they tell you about the parts department having a full line of performance parts for the WRX. I'm now the proud owner of a '02 WRX sedan in Aspen White. silverbullit 11-15-2001, 09:47 PM I bought my wrx wagon there, really great dealership. Was the modded wrx silver with tinted windows and anthracite p7s? monoboy 11-16-2001, 01:38 AM I forgot to mention the tint. They thought I would be interested in it, but I explained to them that building it is half the fun. It was a really nice looking car though... Evaider 12-04-2001, 12:50 AM I live in Lompoc and my 2 closest dealerships are Ventura(70 miles) and San Louis Obispo (50 miles). I went to both those first and got crappy service. I went down to thousand oaks (110 miles I think) and Denis there was great, it took me a couple of weeks to come up with the money I needed but he was patient and didnt put much pressure on to BUY NOW. I purchased it without a spoiler but paid for it at purchase with agreement to add it on. A few days later I came back down and they threw the spoiler on in bout an hour and a half and were very polite and knowledgeable. About 3000 miles later I didnt feel like driving all the way down there for an oil change so I went to the one up in San Louis they did it quickly but while I was there I tried inquiring about just a K&N air filter and a few other mods and they didnt give me any info and said they could only get stock parts. Actually the guy didnt really seem to know that there was anything other than stock parts. (bad bad bad) From now on I think im gonna take the drive down to Thousand Oaks. Oh yeah they sent me a letter saying I could get a free oil change about 3 days after I paid for the one in San Louis. Wonder if they will honor it for the second oil change instead? One more thing the Ventura one is outta the question they were not nice to me! Sorry bout the long essay everyone! newbie sewbie 12-06-2001, 05:41 PM can somebody please give me the exact address and phone number of the place. i don't live near the area, but since everyone is raving about it, maybe i should check it out. i can't seem to find a consistent address or phone number on yahoo. thanx Evaider 12-18-2001, 02:59 AM check www.subaruofthousandoaks.com 3945 Auto Mall Dr. Thousand Oaks, CA 91362 · Phone: (805)371-5555 h2o 12-28-2001, 03:43 AM They are actually pretty friendly and their service department is great. I bought my WRB WRX from them and got myself a pretty good deal. waveskidude 03-30-2002, 12:19 AM :D Just picked up my MBP WRX from T.O. last night and I can't say enough good things about these guys. There was no hassle or pressure to buy the car. I just called them up and asked if they would do the deal for $300 over invoice and they said 'yes' right away. They didn't try any games and were both courteous and professional. I was stunned at being treated so well at a dealer. If you are in SoCal, then its worth your while to check these guys out. F-U-N driving 05-30-2002, 03:49 AM After reading posts here on I-Club I decieded to pass over my local dealer, (Big Valley Subaru, in Van Nuys) and give the folks in Thousand oaks a call. They quoted my $300 over invoice, and any options at invoice. I gave them the go ahead and they delivered my shiny new WRX the next afternoon to my work (about 40 miles from them.) It was sooo easy, Great service, great price. Lemon007 05-31-2002, 04:27 PM Hey guys, I've never heard anything but great feedback for them, and there's a reason... they are great. They're on the ball, and a pleasure to deal with. I bought my Subie back in January, when the stock was pretty low. They promised a price, found one, and even though it had more options, gave it to me at the promised price. Awesome people in Serivce and parts. They actually promised me more than one free oil change, but it's not a problem paying for service that good. I had five or six calls out to dealerships from Ventura to Irvine.... all the other dealerships said the price they quoted out the door was impossible... (four others...) Thousand Oaks Subaru did it with extra options. Incredible. rrp 06-26-2002, 02:33 AM Just wanted to chime in... I just bought a 2002 Silver WRX Sedan from them. They all seem like great guys. They didn't try to b.s. me, just laid down a price that was well below TMV (according to edmunds.com) and I took it. I pick it up on Friday and can't wait. Rally1 06-28-2002, 05:49 PM just requested a quote from them either them or Irvine, whoever can get me abetter deal on a 2003 ;) i will be a "real" member soon enough! Rally1 06-30-2002, 12:04 AM they must be good, i just bought a car from them without even meeting face to face, or seeing the dealership. Should have it by morning, Russ was a great salesman. Orchid 07-01-2002, 03:34 AM does anyone know if they have any 2000 RS's there right now? I an on the hunt. - Dayna RoscoeBoscoe 01-22-2004, 10:46 PM I just had to bump this up since we really got the lowest price for our car through the internet/ fleet sales guy -- Lewis Cook. Did everything through the phone, and our computed prices (invoice + tax/license, financing) came out right on the money...no hassle, no hhidden costs, no BS. They went $500 BELOW invoice and scored me a car with all the option I wanted plus more....and didn't hike the price up. With all the stinking hassles we went through with almost EVERY other SoCal dealership, this was definitely the BEST experience I've had so far. Give Lewis a call...he'll go the extra mile. JMONEY007 01-27-2004, 07:16 PM I have good and bad experiences from them. I bought my scubie from the dealership in van nuys cuzz the dealership in t.o. wouldn't let me test drive a car. I'm 25 at the time with insurance.... It was when they had just come out 2002, and the sales person I had wasn't nice. I live much closer to t.o. than the valley so I started going there for my services. My friend Mike Provo got a job there as a sells rep so I started going there.. Ask for him and mention me "jeremy ross "and he will try to hook something up. I've knoen him for like 11 years. The service department fixed my busted radiator quick style, with a rental car. The are also honoring my warrenty for my messed up tranny syncro's, even though they broke because they are weak from the factory. The 5spd sucks , very unmatched for the engine. The tech tried to blame me for it, saying I can't shift correctly, And I replied that this is my 4th manuel tranny car, and I've had no problems soo far. Maybe the 310 hp is to do with it .(stage 2ish turbo xs) I aslo had a problem with a burnt out front O2 sensor 2 weeks ago. Took a crap on me, and they DIDN"T honor my warrenty on that. They said because ur running a utec , we can't honor that, even though the utec runs rich fuel maps , so egt's really aren't a problem. SO $400 bills later, the car is fixed. they are really into aftermarket parts, but they won't install some of the products they sell, and if u buy certain products that they sell, they won't honor your warrenty on certain things if u install thew. Kind of a CATCH-22 . They quoted me a 6 week wait on the tranny being fixed... I guess lots of other people can't drive stick either  Overall the dealership is good compered to others, but it could use some more work. jeremy :) JxOxExY 02-04-2004, 01:17 AM I got my car there as well. Came with side strake, short shifter, prodrive pff7s, and new dunlop sp9090s for 25k, they got kinda tired of me because I was stretching them alot...asking price was 29k *BS!* Turns out there were 2 tiny door dings on the passenger side door which is why they put all those blinging addons to the car, hopefully to direct the buyers attention elsewhere...which worked on me. Called them about it with proof of a picture I took of it just 1hr after taking it off the lot to drive home. He said he couldn't do anything about since he doesn't know if I was at fault but refered me to someone who could fix it. Other than that, the people there were good people and I'm happy to be driving a WRX now =). its the blue one on the bottom: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=483079&perpage=25&highlight=tein%20h\.tech&pagenumber=6 ilnmcom 02-04-2004, 02:55 AM I liked working with Andrew there. Great customer service. However, the finacing department has lost their mind. This may sound odd, but I bought the warrenty from the Subaru. When my friend and I were looking at it, they went point by point in the warrenty paperwork and explained that the tires, oil, paint, maintence, etc. were all covered. Of course when I went to get my oil serviced for the first time, no dice. So I called Subaru of America, and complained. They said they had three prior complaints against the same person at the dealership. They then informed me that I had the choice to go ahead and return the warrenty for a full refund, provided I do it within 90 days of purchase. I called, and told them I wanted to return it, but because I now live in WA, I needed to have the paperwork sent via mail. I have called every other week for the past 4 months, and I STILL have not seen the paperwork. Buy your car there if you want. Just don't deal with Paul for financing. By the way, great deal on the Rex. 21,545 with options. Nice!!! jonik 02-11-2004, 01:46 AM You guys happan to buy an STI from there? Was looking to get one for Invoice or very close to invoice price. WRXSLO 02-27-2004, 02:36 AM I'm first on the list for a 2005 STI at thousand oaks....I am getting 500 over invoice. ChrisF 03-02-2004, 04:07 AM WRX slow: Did you get that in writing? Thevaliantknite 03-16-2004, 03:54 AM thousand oaks sucks. . . i bought my car from there and it has been in an accident and they didnt tell me. rod_dog 06-10-2004, 02:08 PM I had my WRX towed to Thousand Oaks after it died in a parking lot. I didn't think it was the battery since the dash lights were all functional. Anyways, while I was dealing with the tow paperwork, David the service writer, jumpstarts my car with one of those booster packs. So now I'm thinking I do need a battery. It turns out that the fluid level in the battery was very low. David had a tech fill my battery and had me on my in less than 30 minutes!! I didn't even have an appointment...I just showed up. Great service for sure. :D one_gun88 06-19-2007, 07:22 PM Blew an engine due to "lack of lubricant" (get all my oil changes there) The people in parts are nothing but helpfull and nice MIKE= the SH** The people in service caused me nothing but problems so it took me about two months to get my car back had to go through SOA and finally got my car back with a free motor:D Suber Krout 07-05-2007, 09:38 PM Quality dealership. Wish they were a little closer. They took care of me well. Installed some upgrades too! Dave is the Mananger, good guy. nayr924 01-11-2008, 03:12 AM This dealership is no more. The closed their door in December. smeltron 04-27-2008, 09:27 PM Heard a rumor in the Barber Subaru thread that they (T.O. Subaru) reopened where the pontiac dealer was.
