View Full Version : Flatirons Subaru- Boulder Colorado
JJTheSubeDriver 08-13-2001, 10:01 PM This IMNSHO is the best Subaru dealership that I have delt with so far. I did not have the opportunity to buy my car there- I got it from Shortline- but I wish I had bought from Flatirons. In fact, my next Subaru purchase will be made at Flatirons.
Service: I have worked with many people in service there. Bret Carter (Senior Master Tech) and Dustin (service advisor) are VERY knowledgeable and tolerant about Subaru performance. Bret is building a monster 500+HP Impreza that I am sure we will all hear about. :D He can also get you turbo-back exhausts, flywheels, suspension items, etc.
Sales: Low pressure, great customer service. Jon Eric is the guy to talk to for WRX's, etc. Very knowledgeable and quite a Subaru enthusiast himself. Very pleasant to deal with as many people will tell you.
These are the people I have directly dealt with up there. I have also dealt with Mark (service advisor), and Lynel (service advisor). They also gave great service...
Overall, according to my prior experiences, this dealership gets an A+.

KURB21 01-23-2002, 03:37 PM Of all the Subie dealerships I have been to, this is head and shouldders above the rest. I am so impressed every time I go in for service.
SubeTek 01-23-2002, 11:58 PM Thanks!! It's nice for us to receive a compliment, most people are very fast to complain, and very slow to give a pat on the back.

imprezawrxsti.com 02-02-2002, 11:32 PM My Grandpa has been looking for a new car. He was looking at the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Altima. I suggested that he take a look at a Legacy, and took him up to Flatirons to see Jon Eric.
Proud to say that my Gramps if the proud new owner of a Wintergreen 2002 Subaru Legacy Sedan. Everything went so smooth and easy- the way car buying should be.
Good job AGAIN :D to Jon and all the folks over at Flatirons.. :)
Good sales- good service- truly IMNSHO the best Subaru dealer I have ever dealt with. And I've dealt with John Elway, Burt, Shortline, etc...

my friend's got an '02 & i took it there for service & tuning when he lived out of town for a year or so, & had a great experience with the service dept. & they were fantastic
OnetwelleO 02-26-2007, 01:33 AM I am looking for a dealership to get service from. I Live in Vail and I have heard some not so nice things about the glenwood dealership. I like coming down to boulder so I thought this might be a good choice.
I just bought a 06 impreza wagon new from hallaway motors in cheyenne. They deliverd and gave me a great extended warrenty they say I can get work done anywhere. First run on the highway I noticed the alignment seems to be way off. I also need the selt belt ding to go away. I use my car for work and often just sit in it between clients and do paper work. It drives me nuts. Can the your shop do this for me?
it's a bit of a drive from vail, but if you don't mind the drive, i'd say it's totally worth it, as their service guys are really knowledgeable, & when i was in w/ my friend's, they were always really quick & helpful.
SubeTek 02-27-2007, 05:17 PM I now work @ GO Subaru West in Golden if you are looking for the type of service that was talked about above. Feel free to contact me if you'd like.

fxoffroad 09-07-2007, 12:39 PM From firsthand experience... Boulder service is great... Valley Subaru in Longmont (internet sales) is outstanding, fast, and more accurate than Flatirons. If you're a poser looking to purchase a new vehicle... go to Flatirons, they'll cater to you. If you want the best deal (which I just experienced), go to Valley Subaru. (I'm a VERY satisfied customer.)
CoWRXio 07-21-2008, 09:36 PM My car is in the shop now and I have to say I am so pleased with the way they have handled my warranty issues. I felt sorta silly listing all these little things I wanted them to address (this noise, that noise etc...). Not only was Jon very polite and helpful on the phone, they looked at everything I requested and are replacing my timing belt/tensioner and rear diff under warranty, no trouble at all. I never expected a visit to the dealership to go so well.
Intelligent Hoodlum 07-29-2008, 08:36 PM I have to say I'm impressed with Flatiron also. I live in Alaska and flew down to see the Rally Olympus in Washington and met Steve Crouch who races for Flatiron Tuning. My father in law emailed him and Steve sent a bunch of Subaru and Flatiron swag. Very cool. I just had an engine rebuilt up here at the local dealer and didn't get any swag. +1 for Flatiron.
