I was told from a certain tire company that the suggested tire size for a wheel that is 18X7.5 is 215/40/18.

My question is, will a 225/40/18 be too wide? Will any problems arise from this set up?

BTW - 05 LGT

the overwhelming majority of people I know/have seen w/18x7.5 wheels run 225-40-18 tires. My understanding is that combo is the the closest to maintaining the stock wheel/tire size. (this is for the WRX...not sure what the LGT comes with)

I have an 02 WRX and I'm riding on 18x7.5 wheels with 225/40/18 tires. I don't have any rubbing problems, plus still have alot of room left in the fender well. Thanks
