A Subaru only dealership....the only one in the Hudson Valley of New York. Fair pricing, sometimes they dont like to negoitate on used vehicles (thats why I didnt buy from them...at the time they were also a Lincon/Mercury dealer). Since they dropped Lincoln and Mercury, they have a ton of used cars at great prices, decent condition for the most part (beautiful cars for the most part, some wear and tear on others, and some with minor body damage which they sell for cheap). Parts department is first class...they always give me some sort of discount, and service is reasonably priced and honest I feel.

I recomend them :) Any questions, shoot 'em my way.

I may be looking to buy a used car from them. You say they don't bend too much on used car prices? Do you know if that has changed at all since you posted? Does anyone else have experience with this dealership, are they aware of the i-club, are they friendly, is there someone specific I should work through? When I called and left a message I got a response in 5 minutes, that was nice.

Hopefully they'll come down on the price some...

hey all! Sorry it took so long:o

Alright, When I delt with them (car buying) they were also a lincoln mercury dealer. Since then, they went to just Subaru and have the most inventory in the Hudson Valley....pretty competitive now I think.

As for salesmen to work with, those have changed also, but they are always friendly it seems.

Good luck with getting cars or just shopping with them guys! To my knowledge, there is no connection with the Colonial Subaru in CT.

Cheers!

Evidently they're the #1 Subaru dealer in NY now, which seems pretty impressive. The people I worked with were extremely nice and helpful, and although a lot of things went wrong, on pretty much everyone's part, the overall buying experience was good. I was confident that the car I was buying was in good shape, I just wish I had been buying it at a different time. Trying to coordinate everything ASAP during New Years was a mistake, but there wasn't any other time I could do it.

Overall I would certainly recommend the dealership as a place to buy, friendly salesmen, etc. I can't comment on the service dept, but I did notice that they offer free oil changes for life, plus 4-wheel alignments are only $50! So, this is definitely a place to check out if you're looking, talk to Jeff Leone and tell him Marc Sawaya sent ya. :)

Of course, no one actually reads these forums unless they're searching for something, but that's how I found this thread, so I'm sure it'll turn up in the right hands.

I've had thousands of dollars in work done there....they get stuff in fast, and do good work.

As for the free oil changes...yeah...
You only get one when you pay for the recomended maintance interval every 15K or so FYI..I asked :)

Since you mentioned a name, yes, Jeff Leone is a good person, and I know him and his family personally.

Its nice to see you had a good experience!

I want a place in or near Brewster, NY/Danbury, CT to have my Mom take her '98 Legacy L wagon in for oil changes. the local gas station over filled it BAD last time and a GOOD dealer (Subaru of Wilton) also did the last time they chaged the oil!! And I have heard WAY to many HORROR stories from bad Quick Lube places. Any sugestions, casue I am in collage and can't take care of it.

i just purchased a 99 rs from them. the used car prices are very firm, the dealer wouldnt budge much at all.

He was a really nice guy but when we sat down i started to feel i was getting the run around with the warrenty (i wonder if it was because i was 19). i explained how serious i was about the purchase and i could leave a deposit today but he really didnt seem to listen to me until i put my father on the phone with him.

it was about a 2hr drive from me so i dont think ill be going back again except to pick it up, i didnt really feel 'satisfied' with my purchase though. no comments on service.

my opinion is pretty neutral
