Hey Guys,
Just an update for you all...

This message is in regards to the separate members list, not the members list in the forums.

The modification list is out of commission for the time being. The list just got way to out of control so when people were trying to open up the page to add a mod for their car it would crash most times.

I have unlinked the ability to add mods. I will however be opening it back up when I have the new interface. In order to keeps things much more under control it will be much smarter than what we had before.

You will be able to add mods to your car that are listed in the Products Database. This will mean that alot of products will need to be added to the database, but that alot of things that people considered 'mods' probably won't be on there. To make up for this I will probably add a small text field section where you can enter any information you want about your car.

The reason behind this change is to make the members list and products database and the new reviews section all be integrated.

The new reviews section will allow products that are in the database to be reviewed by people that have that part on their car. Hopefully this will keep the reviews section accurate.

All these things are in the works... so I will let you know when they are ready. I am very very busy right now getting the decals, t-shirts, and store to sell them in ready for the site... among a whole bunch of other things. So as soon as I know, I'll keep you all completely informed of how things are progressing.

Nick, is this store actually going to be a storefront, with an address? When you guys would say "store" I figured you meant online or something.

NU, yep does mean you will have to do a lot more inserting into the Product Database. However to help and to ease the minds of the people who don't think their mods will be listed there will be a request for addition form. The member will have to fill in all the information on the mod, and we will approve or deny the mod. This should cut down on some workload on our end and help fill the product database even faster.

And yeah the storefront I'm talking about it a virtual store, not a real store.

Word, I really like the direction you are taking the board. I don't mind the ads and stuff, if you don't like them, don't click them. Change is good.

Woot...That explains why it kept dying when I tried to edit my mods http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

I don't even mind the banner ads...To tell the truth, I hardly notice them anymore...They've simply become an integrated part of how I'm used to seeing the site http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Go go storefront!

How about having an option to have it link to a page on your own site with an overview of your mods? That'll save you space, and let us get more creative with how we want to do it. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif

Cause not everyone has webspace or knows how to code html.

What I can probably do is give you a field that you can put in a URL that has more info about your car. That's not to hard to code.
