I almost had a perfect time with them.

Sales

I spent just 30 mins with them. The sale of the WRX was done over the phone and so was the trade in value on my car (please be aware this was done all on a maybe, It was done to help me out as I had so far to travel). Great to talk to, Well informed. They sell below invoice (Same price as Van Bortel Subaru). All round very good.

Service.

This is part of the let down. Seemed way to busy to spend 5 mins talking to a customer. Very work must be done orientated.

Body Shop.

I made arrangements to have work done to my car. I traveled 400 miles to be turned back. As a result I had to go else were to have work done to my car.

In all a good experiance

My experience was just slightly different since I actually went in to see them. My mom had chosen to lease her 2001 VDC wagon through them, and brought me there because her salesman, Isaac Casanova, was awesome. His first instinct was to have me testdrive a WRX (which unfortunately I didn't choose because it wasn't appropriate for my commute), then later hooked me up with my Outback Limited Sedan, which I've been quite happy with ever since (though I still pine for the acceleration of the Rex, mmm...). Isaac didn't pressure me at any stage of the arrangement, he was completely honest and friendly (a rarity among salesmen), and got me a decent trade-in on my '95 Accord. If anyone decides to go there (highly recommended if you're after a Rex), ask for Isaac. He loves selling those things, and he's just a cool guy. Oh, and lemme know ahead of time so I can give you my name for you to mention I recommended him by name. ;) Some of the other younger salesmen seemed pretty cool to, but Isaac was the man. Keep in mind that I hate and distrust ALL salesmen when you think about my recommendation.

As far as the service department is concerned, the head technician was also pretty cool and surprisingly honest. One of the guys in the shop was a twit, though. I had to have Isaac hassle the shop guy because after 3 requests my car STILL wasn't totally cleaned. He had to go back and say "hey, this guy just bought a $27K car, can you PLEASE clean this up for him!?!". Once again, Isaac rules. He'll hook you up.

I didn't have any experience with their body shop since I was only there to buy the car and for my first service.

So again, if anyone really feels the desire to buy a WRX, and isn't too far from Albany, NY, go to Goldstein Subaru, and ask for Isaac. He'll want to sell you one of these cars not because he wants the money, but because he genuinely loves and believes in the cars. He tried very hard (without being pushy) to sell me one, even though the car I chose was more expensive! Integrity is a beautiful thing.

Now if only I'd known they were releasing a H6 3.0 sedan WITHOUT VDC... Man I need more power. Heheh. :alien:
