LamarVannoy 08-15-2001, 04:44 PM I bought mine there too. Like you I havent had to go in for service yet. Salesman was really good to me though...might be because I know the owners :D Lucky me. I dont expect much trouble from them for that reason. I wish they had some more RS's there though. Looking for my g/f, but they only had one. hokiewalrus 08-17-2001, 06:02 PM I don't know how old you are, but I'm 22 and when I went there they treated me terribly, so I decided not to buy there. My best friend used to lease cars from there all the time, till he leased a Sunfire. He took it back 4 times under warranty and said there was something wrong with the clutch. Every time they said there was nothing wrong with it. He took it back a fifth time 1,000 miles after the warranty was up and they told him it was peaced and he needed a new one. Rat bastards. Hopefully you'll have better experiences, but I'm certainly not gonna get my Suby there. tekfoc 07-23-2002, 08:50 PM i went there to look and test drive a 2002 wrx and before you know it i bought it!. thay were fantastic and very honest when i ask them about mods that i wanted to do,and thay said that any thing you do to improve power will void your warrenty.he said alot of dealers love stifing guys who modify there cars.and once your in the data computer no dealer will cover your rex. smskier 07-24-2002, 04:14 AM I would not recommend this place to anyone. I ended up getting my car from them, but I wish I didn't, and I am never going back there again. They dont deserve my money. I leased the car from them for 46 months, Im 19, and I cosigned on the lease with my parents. At first I was approved by SOA in Colorado without the cosign, and 3000 down. Now, I had my parents look around in NJ too, because I could get a cheaper insurance policy. They decided to go there. At first everything was just peachy. They needed me to sign some papers and fax some things to the dealership, including the lease credit application. We did this weeks in advance. Then I flew home on the 11th of July to get my car. We had a meeting at 10:30 AM on the 12th. We got there, they aren't even ready. None of the paperwork is ready or even started. We have to wait for 2 friggen hours while their one guy who does the paperwork finishes with another customer. Bear in mind, the dealer setup the meeting with us to expedite. Also, while going over all the car details, the salesman decides to answer the damn phone during our meeting, and start talking to other customers without any reguard to the fact that he had a meeting with us at the time. After we finally get in to talk to the lease agent, they tell me that I lied and SOA never approved me. I can call hueberger motors in co spgs Co and have them fax the damn confirmation if anyone disputes this. Then they tell me my parents need to be the primary signer, and I cosign, so that I am still partially responsible for lease payments and the car would be in my name. We dont leave the dealer until 1:30. That was saturday. Now, monday night comes, the night before I leave to drive back to Colorado. They tell me that now they need proof of what my salary is. Why didn't they ask for a paystub before I left for NJ. The salesman knew the exact situation I was in. They say I can't leave the state until they get this proof. Remember, I only cosigned, Im not even the primary on the lease. So, now I'm calling my employer at 9pm Monday night, thank god its a retail store, to get them to fax me my paystub. I fax that to Salerno at 6am tuesday morning. Now we get a call at 11:30 which they are now saying that I lied about my salary. I work part time, more during the summer, so my salary is hard to gauge based on a paystub. I try to explain this to them, and they are not responsive. At this point they are willing to give us our money back, the 3000 downpayment, and the 500 initial to get the process moving a month back and come pick the car up. My step dad calls them from work and explains to them their incompentancy in great detail, and that my monetary situation doesnt even matter because I am not responsible for the payments under their contract. They are bewildered by this, but tell me I can leave the state, as if I wasnt going to anyway, I had to get back to work in 2 days and had no choice. They then call back a few days later and tell my parents they now need to put ANOTHER 3000 down on the lease (that makes 6500 down for a 4 year lease, 303/month). And that is where we are right now. I am so fed up with these people and the feeling they gave me that the represent subaru that I may never get another subaru after this one. My parents were planning on replacing the 91 legacy we had with another subaru, but will not now based on this dealers performance. If you want the names of the people I dealt with, feel free to PM me, but I wont release them on the forum. Needless to say, but we are writing an extensive letter to every SOA board member about this dealership, and never recommending this place to anyone ever. Ever hear the expression, "you unprepareness does not constitute my emergency." Anyway, Ill give you all updates later on. Hopefully the issue is resolved. If not, ill just send the car back and get an IS300. smskier (a very dissatisfied customer) tekfoc 07-27-2002, 10:57 PM thats why i dont do leases i buy only:D i love my wrx yukondoit 06-30-2008, 02:12 PM I went to Salerno about a month ago to look at an '08 WRX. There was a gorgeous '06 STI for sale. When some test-drove it by, another customer asked what it was, and one of the sales guys said, "that's a Lancer STI...nice right?" I laughed out loud, then promptly decided to not go back there again. |
