I actually sent a check to him directly. Which makes this mail fraud as well. I have filed a report with the postmaster general but I don know what good that will do. I was going to wire him the money but that didn't work out so I do have his bank account info. I found him on another site and posed as someone else. He wants me to paypal him now so I found out his paypal address.

Are you good friends with some one in Montreal? I am willing to pay some kind of reward if he can help me recover my money some how. I am pretty flexible with means at this point...

well, DAMN.... good heads up for future people, I would head what the Canada forum stes and hook up on their board.

I have had a few dealings with some from cananda, although mainly toronto and on a Legacy basiss with VERY good luck. Sorry to hear. It would behoove them (and you) to have information in regards to a scammer in their area.

Have you contacted your bank or whoever you purchased the check from to place a stop payment?
I'm sorry to hear of this and good luck getting it all resolved.

I doubt my friend Mia would go door knocking and she's to good a friend to me, I'd not send her door knocking unless I was there to. :D

However my friend Brian there... he has an obssesive collection of various knifes and swords... He's one of those quiet weird people... he might heh.

What about calling your bank and putting a stop payment on the cheque or has it already been cashed?

Yeah already tried the stop payment thing on the check. Won't work. I did contact the USPS because I used the mail it qualifies as mail fraud. Not sure how much it will help though.

Well I outed him on iwsti so he is not selling there under the same name anyway. I tracked him down to bimmerwerkz and contacted him there using a assumed name. a$$hole got right back to me. I have no way to get him though even though we are exchanging messages regarding a nice set of bmw m3 wheels.

any way you can under a different name, get proof he "still" has the items and act as though you are going to try and make a purchase? Obviously don't buy them a second time but it would be proof that he is infact scamming, has your money, has (or has no intention of selling) the rims still. Probably thinks he's to far from Alaska to be caught...

Man I'm sorry to hear about your problems. But I want to say thanks.

I've been to all of the threads you've made, in various forums, and you've done a hell of a job getting the word out to other people so they don't get screwed. As well as really putting the pressure on him legally.

Good luck. I hope your efforts pay off. Resbum

Thanks Resbum. I don't have a lot of hope that it will work out but I am just trying to help protect others. I know for sure I stopped two sales at bimmerwerkz.com and I found him scamming c5forum.com this morning. The pisser is as soon as the idiot changes his username I won't be able to follow him around and out him.
