I like Dan Cohen he gave me a good deal and the car arrived when promised (give or take a few days).

Cherry Hill and Turnersville (martin) both screwed me over, I ended up at Liberty, they took good care of me.

At least there's one good place in NJ.

Where the heck is Oradell though? (I live in Sussex county)

Been dealing with Russ in the parts department since '97 thru mailorders to San Diego.
Good guy, too bad Lisa (sugar) can usually beat his quotes shipped.

Oradell is off the GSP, somewhere past Hackensack.

right off on route 17. On kinderkmack rd. I brought my car in for some service, they have great techs there.

I'm in the same boat, I'm not sure what dealer to give my business too...Cherry Hill is a bunch of idiots! I'm hoping to deal with martin because they will install aftermarket parts and I'm trying to find a dealer that will sell me a wrx with a ton of parts from the rallyperformance site included in the fianancing..There is a dealer in long island that will....BUT that is a long hike and so is Hackensack from south jersey..any of you guys know of a dealer in the southern part of the state.

I brought my WRX from Liberty Subaru back in Oct 01.
The salesperson had his act together and I got my car as promised.
Overall a good experience. But I'm not sure how they're service department is. I've had him oil changed once there and it was pretty quick. But I'm wondering how their techs are with major issues. Anyone have any experiences to share?

Liberty Subaru treated me like crap today. Went in for a test-drive, and I guess since I was driving my daily driver or something, they got the impression that I wasn't a serious buyer.

So in any case, the guy told us to wait outside while he got the keys.. 15 minutes passed, and I walked in wondering what was taking him so long. Turns out he was on the phone, talking with some customer, saying that it's gonna be a few more minutes. How rude.. he didn't even bother coming outside to tell us that he needs to take a phone call or anything.

I angrily told the sales manager how upset I was, and the guy said "he had to take a phone call, and everyone else is busy".. they sure didn't look very busy to me (no customers were there).

In any case, Liberty Subaru will not get our business. They are simply rude, which is surprising because I remember the last time I went (drove the CLK) they treated me very well.

I got a price quote and its pretty good. I called other places for comparison and they BEAT IT by alot!

Invoice price for a rex is around $22,500-$23,000, work around there. I got a quote today with spoiler, short shifter, and armrest for $24k at Liberty Subaru.

The quote i got from Liberty is

23725 for Armrest and SPoiler

just picked up the new ride aug. 29th. the salespeople were ok i guess. more straightforward and to the point. got my hands on a left over wrx with no options for $22,5. but i can agree on the whole "taking you serious" bit. you have to look the part to get anyone to help you...yes, i know, sad but true. but deep down we're all subie lovers at heart. still wondering about the techs and service. will repost when 1000mi and 3750mi need to be done.

The manager said he was doing us a favor, when in fact if we drive another 10 min we can get a much better car cheaper, so whats a 10 minute drive? :) after trying to rip off my dad, i dont think we will be going back there...after an hour of haggling on a 2004 wrx, the best the manager could do with no options was $1000 more than a 2004 at Town motors in englewood with ALL the options....I wonder who we are going to buy from?

Have bought two legacy's (invoice) in the past two years at Liberty, about to get an STI (at msrp or a little below) from them as well. Good guys there.

Update:
Bought a silver/silver STI @ msrp. Had to wait a few weeks for delivery as expected. A satisfied customer here.

This makes three purchases @ this dealership.

Also, I know Town Motor Cars is very good.
I know a good salesman there.

Just picked up my new WRX from Liberty. Charlie was very helpful throughout the process. From my experience thus far, I would definitely recommend them if your shopping for a Suby in the area.

so many people in the bergen county area....Im the dude in the white 06 wrx...i live in paramus too..so how are the techs and service department there?

I know the owner personally and they are good people there
