does anyone know of anyplace that can change my windshield for a decent price? I went to speedy auto glass on huffman and the lady said since it is an sti it would cost $700. I told her it doesnt matter if it is an sti or not, its the same windshield as a wrx. She said her book says it isnt. I go to the other speedy auto glass on arctic and the guy says it would be 900 to 1000 and I said thats ridiculous. So someone is pulling my chain or it really is that expensive to get a new sti windshield. I replaced my windshield for my 03 wrx and it only cost me $300 and I really thought thats how much it would be. Is there any other place anyone would recommend?

I can tell you what it cost tomorrow when I pick up my car I will ask. On one of the first claim's State Farm listed pt # NAGS FW2245-GT (05 STi btw) for 187.60...but next to that is written "Supp", which I presume is the shorthand for Supplement so the body shop must have determined that it was incorrect in price, part # or both. I will see what the final invoice says, and if it is an 05 STi, everyone in town buys them from Conti (mine was backordered and when Midtown called around everyone said they got them from Conti so they could not do anything sooner). It might be cheaper to buy the windshield yourself and just find out how much to install one so no mark-up on the part.

yeah my wrx was only like $350 and I cant imagine the sti being more than that but than again im not in the glass business. I've always taken my glass work to Novus, specifically the one denali near century theaters and across from Walmart and have always been pleased. I remember Gator glass as well as Speedy wanted an arm and a leg and your first born for their services.
