Stock STi exhaust pipe just north of muffler (at 1st bend) is contacting the subframe over bumps and rattling. Also slight rattle at idle. If the exhaust could slide back 1", everything would be perfect...

I have an Invidia V2 catless DP. Would an aftermarket catback solve this? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

maybe one of your rubber hangers is messed up. try longer hangers. maybe your dp is slightly lower than stock catback making the stock catback uneasy.. try longer hangers and maybe a new CB. i doubt that though.

You rubber hangers might be worn out or not attached right.

As mentioned you could try longer hangers or maybe urethane hangers, for reduced movement.

Hangers look good - I think the flat flange on the Invidia DP versus the conical flange on the stock DP made the Invidia DP effectively shorter by about 3/4". So, I had to pull the stock catback that same 3/4" in order to mate up.

Are the aftermarket catbacks just a smidge longer to compensate for the flat flanges? If not, perhaps there is a spacer to put between my DP & stock catback?
