I need to sell my car.

solid body, NO RUST
a few scrapes in the side molding on the passenger side from a pizza delivery guy. The passenger side tail light has a small crack in it.
The car is in good shape but it is in need of a motor. This would be a perfect opportunity for a swap project. Light older GC8 style with no power windows or locks.
Please no blasting me if the price is off, I'm throwing it out here for $1500 OBO.
If you have any specific questions please either email me, I will be checking it every night. The car does run but it has a definite motor issue(I don't know how much longer it will run). I would love to do the swap myself but I don't have the time or a garage to work in.

I am interested but the price is pretty high. To bad you are not in UT or it would be perfect. I will give you $800 since I would need to drive out there and flatbed it back.

Also color? sedan ia am guessing? amd dings or dents? pictures? interior nice? All of these could effect the price as well. Let me know

I will get pics up asap. The car is sitting at a shop in Boulder and I live in Golden. However my mode of transportation has been reduced to a bicycle so it might be a few days. The car is the blue/green color, interior is good, and it is awd, with a 5spd. As far as the body goes there is no rust, and only minor sratches on the passenger side from someone who can't judge distance, the passenger side tail has a small crack from the same idiot. I can't do $800, the shop were it is sitting will give me more than that for parting the car. Thanks for the interest, Aaron.

The tranny seemed fine except between 3rd and 4th every once in a while. But I think thats because the original clutch is finally on its way out.

Anyone smell a swap? because i do. this car w/ $4K into it will beat a STi.

bump plus answers to some new questions:

I switched the motor over to Mobil 1 at 89k. The car ran low on oil by about a full quart and now makes a noise almost like a rod knock or something.
The rest of the car is great, clean interior for a 12year old car. The brakes and clutch and tranny seem fine. I replaced both of the front cv joints, one about a year and a half ago the other about 8 months ago.
Drums in the rear.
No ABS.
Drivers Side Airbag only.
Not that it matters much but it has a kickin stereo with a pioneer deck that plays MP3's (cost me $350 from crutchfield) and nice kenwood speakers all around.
I also have a nice set of 02' WRX wheels with crap stock tires I will throw in.

I doubt it. It made it from Boulder to Golden, about 16 miles. It has pretty much benn sitting in the garage since then. I started it up and moved it out then back in again about two weeks ago. Fired right up but still doesn't sound good.
