SMC

ease of install, was in in about an hour and a half TOTAL time
Completeness of kit. Comes with everything you need. Put it in, fill it up and go
How well it works, this thing is amazing. Like I said, I filled it up and went tuning :) No futzing needed whatsoever.

If I were to get one today, I'd get the SMC kit because of how plug & play it is for the WRX.

Aquamist 2d...so many features....very reliable......very recommended by PDX and Perrin. Detects if a jet is blocked for ensured safety.......Phil from Element tuning can back this up as well.

The Aquamist System 2D (along with DDS2) gets my vote. Between the performance, safety measures incorporated into the systems, quality, fit and finsh IMHO you can't get any better of a WI system for any car.

Richard Lamb from Aquamist is one of, if not, the most knowledgeable people within the industry. The customer service alone is worth the extra $$$, between timely responses and informative answers I have always been pleased. Furthermore, as mllrsti has mentioned many of the top Subaru tuners recommend Aquamist including but not limited to the following: Perrin, PDX, Element Tuning, etc.

I wouldn't think twice about going elsewhere for WI, Aquamist will always get my vote and will be used on all my future builds.

.....does aquamist support the use of any type of alcohol in their systems???

I don't think so. Richard L. said in his Aquamist thread that they have some pumps that have teflon seals that are currently in testing. I think he can get you a set of teflon seals if you wanted to inject nitromethane or toluene.

you need to include ethanol in that question... h2o vs methanol vs ethanol and/or mix?
water is great for absorbing heat so you can run more boost and help prevent knock. methanol or ethanol both do it the same just chemically and have a very high octane rating. go beyond the boards here and do a search on the web for water injection, ethanol injection and methanol injection. you'll find a lot of useful info that will help you with your decision.
