There should be a clip behind it, take it off it comes off. Can I have it. ;)
Also the owners manual shows how to remove the grille. 02-03, dont know about 04+ check that.

sorry about quality, camera phone
To remove grille from the manual " 1 Remove the front grille. Use a screwdriver to detach the four clips at the top and the two hooks on each side" 2"Loosen three clips to remove headlight cover"

If its like this you "could" pop it off w/ a screwdriver.

Sti owners lil help.

Suby is just using the "Where the Red Fern Grows" technique. It is damn near impossible to pull it off directly. What I did for the two I removed was get a small flathead screwdriver ( http://www.amphotech.com/detail.cfm?autonumber=48792 ) and slowly try to slide it under the base of the circle. Once you get it under, gently but firmly just try to pull it towards you an inch or so ( [ __ / ] <---pretend that is the screwdriver). Then remove the tip and do the same thing on the opposite side of the same clasp, so for example 12o'clock then 6o'clock then 3o'clock then 9o'clock. Repeat and it will slowly move, when you get it 5-6mm you can use a pair of needle nose plyers to firmly grasp the post that is now exposed on the front of the grill, with another set of plyers grasp the other end of the plastic post and you should be able to break that end off with the circle wedge attached. After that you can take the emblem off but you have to be careful and slowly wiggle the metal plate through the grill. It does scrape a small bit but if you get absolutely hammered drunk and make a huge jackass out of yourself anywhere within walking distance you will have little chance of remembering the damage in light of a much more humiliating event. Or just take the chance no one else will be taking off your grill and flaming you for the damage that you have to specifically look for. And if you really don't want to take the ebay route and are willing to pass on the small fortune some people pay for the emblem, they make a great bribe to most members on AKIC and if you choose wisely...you will be accepted, forgiven for the damage and even earn a free "get out of flaming" for one n00b post. I chose wrong......

if you are just trying to get rid of the emblem, just trade grille screens with someone. the hole screen comes out really easy.
