I still think STi should be a Division of Subaru that makes Performance cars for Subaru. But not just like it is now. More like Lexus or Acura or Infinity. They could still be sold at Subaru dealerships but sold as a STi badged car. Perhaps they could look a little bit different (faster) and instead of having the Subaru http://www.subaru-global.com/imgs/common-header-001b.gif have the http://www.subaru-sti.co.jp/imgs/common-header-001.gif or perhaps have the http://www.subaru-global.com/imgs/common-header-001b.gif and have STi replace Subaru.

I think it would be an easy way to make the Premium Subaru which would make Subaru happy and bring the STi Legacy Forester Impreza and perhaps a STi Outback and Tribeca to North America too. Which would make most of us happy too.

Just bring the F-STI and Legacy ("tuned") STI and keep them in line with the WRX-to-WRX/STI pricing, performance, and option packages.

So you think that there is a big enough market for sti outbacks foresters and tribecas, to deem it nessiciary to make a new division? I guess I don't agree.. probobly because the cars are still to the same.

Lexus and acura are luxery car lines.

I like the relationship now, kind of like what M is to BMW and AMG is to Mercedes. Although, I personally think it is a big blunder for SOJ/SOA to keep so many special vehicles from the USDM...
