Sokudo 08-27-2005, 02:16 PM i won't mind having that !
OrionAK 08-27-2005, 02:35 PM Kudos to them for going wagon, but that ass-end is hideous! Oh well, I'd still hit it.
Mavrik 08-27-2005, 02:56 PM looks like the tail end to a volvo.
cooparu 08-27-2005, 03:36 PM Sam's pregnant?
While square, it's not too bad. And soccer moms need speed, too.

Would that be you???
AKLGT 08-27-2005, 09:41 PM looks like the tail end to a volvo.

fc6666 08-28-2005, 04:00 AM If Nissan had these stateside I'd buy one. Stupid fast wagons are cool.

SparkysJDMSpeedWagon 08-28-2005, 05:02 AM now that the BNR34 is out of production, what is under the hood of the current Autech Stagea, a VG35DETT? Or is the Autech version even in production (remember, regular Stageas are just normal station wagons, like how regular Skylines are just regular sedans and large coupes)?
fc6666 08-28-2005, 05:18 AM VQ25DET :)

AK_2002_WRX 08-28-2005, 07:40 AM haha, they made the evo 9 even uglier:lol: they should just call it the Volvo Evo IX:lol:
Peterk 08-28-2005, 10:30 PM I heard today that Evo's power is really limited in the USA for insurance reasons, but if you just did a cheap chip mod you could double the horsepower. Any truth to this?
OrionAK 08-29-2005, 03:14 PM Double with a chip? That's my kinda chip! Woo-woo!
I don't think the Euro or Jap versions have 500+ hp, but I may be wrong.
Peterk 08-29-2005, 05:39 PM Thats pretty much what a guy I know said, apparently thats how the evo keeps winning those races overseas.

Peterk 08-29-2005, 07:13 PM Maybe he was pulling my leg....

When you spend $323,314,325,235 on Aerodynamics and $1 on performance, that kinda stuff happens.
AK_2002_WRX 08-30-2005, 12:01 AM lol, yeah the EVO on WRC is kinda ugly.
fc6666 08-30-2005, 12:16 AM Fugly X 100000 :p reminds me of a hot wheels car.

sam
SparkysJDMSpeedWagon 08-30-2005, 03:53 AM Gigi Galli's comical expressions while driving more than make up for the Mitsu's lack of performance, and it's inability to beat anything that isn't a Skoda
cooparu 08-30-2005, 12:57 PM Thats pretty much what a guy I know said, apparently thats how the evo keeps winning those races overseas.
Overseas street races, maybe?
Yes the WRC evo is pretty ugly looking, the placement of the spoiler doesn't help at all. Performance-wise, it's much better than last year. Still, it hasn't been too impressive. In fairness, neither has Subaru. Petter's starting to move down the leaderboard.

Subaru better hire Loeb next year.
Peterk 08-31-2005, 04:30 AM Wow I thought subaru did really well!
eurojax 08-31-2005, 06:37 AM Wow I thought subaru did really well!
Not this year, nor last.
Once a hurricane named Sebastien hit the WRC circuit, it's been downhill for Subaru world rally. I think we've seen our best from Petter, it's only a matter of time till he's replace and we have a new star.
Actually, Subaru hasn't really done well in Manufacturers standings for a while. It's always been one star and one star only, not 2.
02-elite-gettingwrx 08-31-2005, 08:00 AM saw a black evo wagon on northern lights this morning, and damn it looks ugly from the back!!
eurojax 08-31-2005, 10:45 AM saw a black evo wagon on northern lights this morning, and damn it looks ugly from the back!!
No you didn't.
2,500 are said to be made soon, all of them will stay on Japanese soil, unless someone wants to import one for some insane reason.
SQUAD_907 08-31-2005, 12:54 PM Not this year, nor last.

sad but tru...i hate loeb!
OrionAK 08-31-2005, 02:47 PM Gotta give respect where respect's due, though.
cooparu 08-31-2005, 03:39 PM Loeb's a robot. Unless something breaks on his car, he's unbeatable.
He's such a good driver, he knows it, yet he's still pretty humble when interviewed. Classy guy.
Subaru better get him next year. The 2006 WRC season should be interesting.
(So should the McRae/Grist combo in GB in a few weeks)
SparkysJDMSpeedWagon 08-31-2005, 06:42 PM Loeb, Duval, Gronholm, and Märtin will all be up for grabs after this year, when Citroen and Peugeot drop out. Of course, Suzuki annouced that they're returning for '06, and Mitsu is going to be taking the 06 season more seriously too...who knows what drivers will end up in which cars next year.
R-one 08-31-2005, 11:37 PM Loeb will go to Ford if not to a Citroen privateer for one year so he can go back to Citroen in '07.
I don't think Subaru's line up will change, all the drivers noted above will cost too much.
