To everyone in the Colorado Springs area, I just went by Heuberger Motors today, and they have a white 2006 STi...it's pretty sweet.

I must say that my reaction to seeing the 2006 in person wasnt as good as when I first laid eyes on the 2004 STi. This was probably because it was the first US-released STi, and it was in WR Blue, which always carries more weight with me...the white vehicles, to me, are always just blah :o.

Anyway, it's there to fondle and drool over. One thing that disappointed me to see is that the seat treatments did not carry over to the US version. The JDM seats seemed to have that spot in the center that raised up to hold your legs in place, which serves a purpose and looks great. It is not present on the US 2006 seats.

Even though I've been vehemently loyal to the WRX lineup, there is one car that would steer me away from purcahsing a new STi...the Legacy B4 tuned by STi. Check that thread out (forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=833904)if you havent already.

Heh, I was over there today as well, and saw the 06 STi. I think I liked it better in person than I did in pictures. The rear window wing and rear tails looked better than I thought they would, as well.

I was ogling the 04 STi that they had for sale, though... I am sick of my TS, and want something faster... can't afford it though :(

For those in nassau county. NY you might wantto get over to Gregoris Subaru on merrick they have a silver 2006 STI on display. You better get there fast its SOLD already :lol:

They are hiding their 06's up on top of the hill so they can move their 05 product first. ;) I saw that 04 Red WRX AT...nice, huh? They had a silver WRX with a performance exhaust and morrette headlights, but it sold. They also, for a short while, had a 2001 RS in silver with low miles...last time I was there I was told that they had on hand one of each trim of the 2006 lineup, but like I said, they are hiding them to sell the 05's....nothing a short hike won't reveal, though. ;)

just FYI, when I lived in the springs back in August of '01 I almost bought my WRX wagon from Hueberger but decided to wait, and thankfully I did. A few weeks later I was sent down to Albuquerque for my new job and while down there found that there were two Subaru dealers in town. I was able to find the wagon I wanted with 5000 miles on it 'used' for $21,900.

Lesson being I guess is that two dealers in town is better than one, and you might be able to get a better deal, or find the used car your looking for by driving 5 hours south.

Ehh, I just bought my 04 STi from them, and was pretty happy. Only real quibble is that they didn't bother to fill up the tank.. I thought that was something that all dealers did when you bought a car from them!

So is Heuberger's offering STI test drives up Pike's Peak :D :devil:
