View Full Version : Stock 05 sti
TecHniKa 08-28-2005, 06:27 PM Got my baseline numbers...(mustang dyno)first run 259.7hp,270.5tq.Second run was a little less but the third was 262.6hp,266.7tq.CFT said that I made more power than a stock 06 sti that they put on the rollers. :disco:
wrex03 08-28-2005, 08:09 PM Wow! Most stock sti's put down 220 on a mustang. What is the average on this particular dyno?
WRXskeet 08-28-2005, 08:12 PM are you sure that was a mustang?
TecHniKa 08-28-2005, 08:12 PM Not sure the 06 put down 250hp.
TecHniKa 08-28-2005, 08:13 PM are you sure that was a mustang?
Yes is was. :D
WRXskeet 08-28-2005, 08:13 PM congrats on having a Factory freak then, you and the 06 guy,.........
TecHniKa 08-28-2005, 08:55 PM congrats on having a Factory freak then, you and the 06 guy,.........
Thank you kind sir. ;)
Speed 08-28-2005, 09:09 PM Now this make allot of sense. There was an Evo there (blue) with the stock turbo (fastest Stock turbo Evo BTW 11.6@117 ) he made a pass of 434 AWHP on this MD Dyno. From your number this Dyno is reading about 10-15 % higher than a regular MD Dyno. Like I said.. now everything makes sense. :D
needsboost2005 08-28-2005, 09:24 PM I would like to see a print out of the dyno sheet if you dont mind. Congrats btw
TecHniKa 08-28-2005, 09:39 PM Soon as I find out how it will be up...have to talk to my friend.
wrxsc 08-28-2005, 09:41 PM I dynoed my car at 255whp on CFT's dyno and made 283whp on Mastro Subaru's dyno. The numbers seemed to be right for a mustang dyno on my car, maybe corrections have been added?

Corrections?Rolo knows call CFT ask him,he did the runs.Lots of peeps were there to see this. :D
wrxsc 08-28-2005, 09:56 PM I am not questioning rolo, I know him well and he helped me work out the kinks in my utec map. However, I do know that the dyno must be setup for each car (based on make, model, etc.) from a computer menu. This is followed by a calibration run on the dyno and then boost runs. This perhaps could account for some of the variance in hp #'s. Great #'s regardless :D
TecHniKa 08-28-2005, 10:19 PM Thanks :D
chase103 08-28-2005, 10:38 PM thought most true dyno numbers, the sti's were around 215-222whp.......must have been one of the "built on good friday" sti's....

Huh?elaborate on this please. It was saturday. And hot as hell. :D
MARKGSTI 08-28-2005, 11:39 PM Don't tell me I-Speed opened up a Dyno in FL??
compton 08-29-2005, 12:09 AM I can vouch for the dyno charts since I have seen them. I will help him post up some pics of the sheets tomorrow. The dyno is pretty well known and does not have corrected numbers. This car is a factory freak.
x99percent 08-29-2005, 10:31 AM Miscalibrated dyno what?
Take that car to the track. It will likely run the same numbers as every other stock STi out there, with 220-230whp.
kettsupp 08-29-2005, 06:38 PM congrats on having a Factory freak

Holy Crap! Those are the same numbers my '05 sti made with an Ecutek reflash, Invidia race TBE and an Injen STI CAI! - also a Mustang dyno.
I once saw in Sport compact mag. another Mustang dyno that also posted numbers in the 250 range. The dyno must be calibrated differently than other dynos.
There cetainly are "factory freaks", but 40 whp freak??

dynamics dyno.

Diddo !!!
Don't get happy about the whp you see on any dyno. That's only good info if you do some power mods and return to the same dyno for a comparison, or compare it with other AWD cars from that exact (not type) dyno. Otherwise, the information is absolutely useless.
Another thing:
Not all Dynapaks are the same.
Not all Dynojet are the same.
Not all Dyno Dynamics are the same.
Not all Mustangs are the same.
Etc.
MARKGSTI 08-29-2005, 08:50 PM I know of a car that dyno'd on two different Mustang dynos on the SAME day.....
There was a 13% difference between the two dynos in his peak hp.
Good example :)
TecHniKa 08-29-2005, 09:45 PM Here are these dyno plots for you peeps. :D
