This 1998 impreza is my daily driver along with a 98 talon i have. With the stock ej22 getting a little tired, the clutch failing and just flat out wanting a little more daily driver horsepower i decided to go with an ej22t from a 91 legacy. I have now completly rebuilt the engine, and bought a few bolt on parts for it, such as a dsm 14b turbo i have machines to turn the exhaust housing 180 degrees, stock wrx top mount, custom header/up-pipe to accomodate the non turbo crossmember and 14b turbocharger.

The only think i have left to question is the fuel system. again i am only looking to make stock wrx horse power (220 at the flywheel) i dont plan to boost over 10-12 psi.

Im not sure what injectors to run or how to tune, i have to say im really leaning twards the safcII (because i already have one that i didnt install on my 93 talon awd)

Please help me out in any way possable.

your ej22t injectors probably can handle that kinda power no prob. which ECU are you using? if u familar with safc, just use safc :)

using the rc injector size caluculator i will need 420-450cc injectors. aka wrx injectors maybe??

will an safcII compensate for wrx injectors with a stock obd2 ej22 ecu?
will top feed wrx injectors even work with my ej22t heads?
what fuel rails do i use?

so you're the kid how put the 22t in the gc8. what do you mean by ej20h/ej22t hybrid? does that mean that you're using a ej20 head? i was thinking about just trying to use the ej22e heads, although the cams have a little overlap which i'm sure wont work great with turbo'ness...

may I ask why you're using a ej22NA ECU for a ej22t motor?

get an e-manage. that is what i am going to be using for my project. right now i am going to put a turbo kit on a 1.8 (the emanage is already installed and was a success so far.. as far as no gremlins) for learning purposes and then I am having a ej22t block put in.

go to subachad's site for install instructions. or mohdparts.com for schematics.

why use e-manage instead of safc2?

why use e-manage instead of safc2?

Because emanage has maps for anti-stall correction, acceleration enrichment, additional sub-injectors and also controls the injectors directly to add fuel. Side benefit there is that controlling the injector pulse width directly doesn't affect the ignition timing. You can map ignition timing adjustment to throttle position or airflow. It's also possible to use the emanage with thier own, or a standard GM 2 bar MAP sensor and set your fuel / ignition maps to reference boost pressure.

Now if Greddy would just support this product like Apexi supports the SAFC....

You could probably stand to read some of the experiences of RS-T builders with this device. As far as EM goes you're pretty much in the same position they are.

BTW, if you use a '92~'94 EJ22E fuel rail you can use the sr20det style injectors. Those are avaiable in 370, 440, 550 and much larger sizes.
