i read that it's illegal in Alaska to have your front windows tinted.
a. is this true?
b. has anyone been busted for it during a scooby joyride?

Here is a Link (http://www.iwfa.com/iwfa/Law_Chart/State%20Law%20Chart.htm) to a chart with all 50 states tint laws. It was really rather easy to fidn the info on the internet. You can have a 6" strip on your front window. We the link for the rest of the info.

a) it is true,
b) not to my knowledge. the "only" times I have heard of problems was when cruising the strip.
As with the no front plate, you have to pay to play.

i got a ticket for my fronts, but when I had it signed off(its just a fix-it ticket) they didn't even mention the backs being blacked out.

Yeah, I only peeled off the fronts on my RS when I got my ticket as well, and it was on the strip. :D

The chart is correct in that you can have 70% up front (which is nothing). I have 20% all around and have been tagged a couple of times by the UAA police for my fronts and that is why there is $10 Wal-Mart tint (easy on, easy off). I've gotten pretty good at tinting windows. I have as yet for them to say anything about my back windows.
