I sent him paypal for rear OEM wrx Brakes and spindles over a month ago, I have yet to see brakes. I have since asked for my money back and have NOT seen any money.

His e-mail replies to my requests are slow to return and promise he is "getting" to it. Yet week after week went buy with no action. When I requested my money he said he would send it "when I have it".

Be Warned DO NOT deal with this guy!!!

I would like to add my input...

I contacted Jaime about his 2002 EJ20 he had pulled from his WRX around April. We agreed on a set dollar amount for his engine and harness. I was getting a check from my insurance company, so I had to wait on that first. He didn't want to accept payment through paypal, which made me a little nervous, but assured me that he wasn't gonna screw me over (he claimed he had been burned before as well). So, I sent half the money and requested pics. I never got those nor did I get my shipment info, which I was requesting prior to sending the remainder of the cash. After almost a month of excuses as to why he couldn't arrange shipping, I had a freight company ready to go in 20 minutes.

Upon arrival, the mechanic doing my swap exclaimed how dirty the engine was. No biggie, but what was truly alarming was the missing harness. By this time, it was nearly impossible to contact him via PM's, emails or phone calls. He finally replied to my email with a sob story. I understand things in life go sour, but communication with a business partner must be maintained, otherwise people get the wrong idea.

All in all, I too would recommend staying away from this particular member when it comes to transactions. He simply cannot be relied upon.

After not getting any parts for over a month, and endless excusses, I asked for my money. What a shock, he couldn't give me that either, after months of hounding him, I finally just asked him to send the parts again. Well three weeks later and no response from him.

I only have an e-mail and PM to contact him, which he doesn't seem to check much.

He's in Dayton Ohio. Although I've never met him, I've seen him at some non-subaru car meets in the past. I've seen multiple complaints here on nasioc about his poor selling history.

Stiletto: I'm not sure how many miles he said were on the engine when you bought it, but I knew the guy that boostd bought his car from.......it had over 40K miles on it when he bought it in the fall of '03.

Also, apparently he has enough money to keep working on his LS1 swap  This is the same guy: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=380239&page=5&pp=20

Adding that the engine was "tracked" a number of times in 1/4 mile. For whatever that's worth...

I feel bad If i am a day or two late getting things out....

Boostd,

You wonder why the rest of us folks on DaytonSubies.com never really made an effort to spend any time on you, it's because your reputation preceeds you and honestly it stinks! I know you are having tons of issues outside just your vehicle, with family and friends etc, but at some point you need to step up to the plate and take responsibility for your actions and set things right with everyone on here and on other car forum sites.

I don't get your obsession with street racing against 8-9 sec Mustangs and trying to beat them. First with a modded EJ207, then with a heavily modded 2.2L block and now an LS6 motor conversion. As scores of others have said, you bought the wrong car for this project.

But I'm getting off track. This guy wants his WRX brakes and you deserve to send them to him. If you need help removing them or getting them done, I will personally volunteer to come over, remove them, and ship them to the buyer. There is no reason you can't get those off and send them away. I have done my own brake replacement and could do this in an afternoon.

Pick up the crap you've spread around this forum and others and people will respect you greatly. Not because you have the fastest Subaru in the world, but because you are a decent guy and treat people with respect. That's all we ask.

true, but at the same time if both the buyer/seller agree that it might be a little bit of time before the part can be pulled, but the buyer wants to secure that the part is his by paying for it right away, thats a little different, i've had that happen before with a couple parts cars, a guy wanted the transmission so he paid for it before i even started tearing the car down, it could have been awhile before i got the time to tear the car down but he didn't mind, just wanted to make sure it was spoken for... all i'm saying, is MAYBE they made a deal like that and reality isn't quite like the buyer thought (having to wait), we just dont know because neither of them have really given much insight as to what the original deal was...

thats fine, all i'm saying is that i can relate to the guys situation, and i dont know if your full of **** or not, i've been on the receiving end of a jack-ass buyer who bought some used parts off of me and when he realized they were used threw a hissy fit and very well could have ruined all my credibility as an honest seller, all because he was an idiot, not saying that you are, but i do have personal experience where everyone turns against you because of what the buyer says, when its not even really the sellers fault that the buyer doesn't agree with the original terms because they dont end up being quite like he had thought...

but if in fact the seller in this instance is being a dousche, my apologies, i just try to not jump on the bandwagon and immediately side with the buyer like EVERYONE always does, it just makes it that much harder for a seller in the long run...

People have sent you money. Send them the parts, plain and simple. Failure to do this is breaking a few differant laws that carry a few years of time...

If you cant send the parts. You best stop your little project car and sell off some of those parts to start paying people back with... I would hate for people here to have to ruin your other threads at other sites to ask for there money back.

You would not be the 1st person to go to jail over something like this.. And sence this is the internet you will not be the last......

Boostd cant give him the money back, frankly people like him get money and they spend it. Now its gone and he has no replacement part for his car so he will continue to dance around the bush until 2000wrx calls the local authorities with the money order stub and files an official complaint. Then presses charges for fraud. this will grab this persons attention when an officer comes to his door and asks about the situation although its a lenghty process and takes some effort, well worth it in my opinion.

I would have done it after 1 week but hey thats me.

2000wrx call the local police ask to talk to a detective and file an official complaint to press charges. goto your local court house pick up the paperwork for small claims and file the documentation toward this guy. may not be very big now but it will all catch up to the person in the end.

Boostd, I will not jump on the "you are an evil idiot and we should all beat you" bandwagon. Stuff happens to everybody, and we don't know anything about your life beyond what we see here.

But you have made and broken numerous promises to lots of people, it would seem. People have offered to help you get the parts shipped and you didn't make it happen. If you ever hope to salvage your reputation, you will cease your "impatience will get you nowhere" attitude, submit a sincere and lengthy apology, and in the future UNDERpromise and OVERdeliver. You have thus far OVERpromised and UNDERdelivered.

Perhaps a little bit of explanation of your life troubles, without too much personal detail of course, will let folks know what kept you from honoring your commitments. So far, it looks to us like you don't care about your customers and are too busy working on and paying for your ridiculous LS swap  to be bothered. Prove us wrong. We're mostly optimists who would rather see you make it right than cut you down.

I hope that Jamie can get his life in order. I know what it is like to be on hard times and hope that he can learn from this. In the end I hope that he learns to communicate much better. If he had been in closer communication and let me know what was going on more I would have been more understanding.

I guess he is out of work again, so I am back to waiting on the last 100.00 Though I thought he was getting a 2K check from something, wonder where that went. Parts for his LS1/WRX I guess.

Bump for update. A bunch of us in Dayton want to know if this was ever resolved and what we can do to help!

I 2nd that motion. I've posted in here a long time ago (and actually had thought the issue was resolved) but apparently it hasn't. I'm in Dayton OH as well and would definately take the initiative to find out what happened in this situation and correct it to the best of my abilities for the sake of helping out.

We need a forum for slow shippers and scammers to put their addresses and phone numbers on a list so we can find these people and do what is needed to be done....

ALSO - I can count about five different posts where Boostd mentions "money is in the mail" or "check has been sent". If that doesn't upset you Boostd, your word can never be trusted. I know you have family and home issues to deal with, and this is probably not #1 on your list, but putting this guy on hold and yanking his chain for over 9 months now is simply ludicris.

I am still owed 100.00 bucks. I have heard nothing for a long while. Other than a PM telling my to stop posting updates cause he "will" pay me.

Hmmm you should have my phone number since I have called you a couple times now. Funny I didn't get a call back. I'll call you tonight to see how serious you are about paying me my money.

Though seeing as you were spouting off on LS1tech that you don't owe me any money I will be surprised if you truely want to make things right.

neither party had feedback --- that explains it all - live and learn - but ive been in a similar situation -- only with rods and pistons --- and its still dragging for over a year ---- best advice is to take a deep breath and call your lawyer - or uncle vinny and his henchmen...

From the pictures on ls1tech.com his kid looks like an ugly crackhead and will probably grow up selling rocks from the debt that his deat beat dad put him through.

I'd like to see pictures of him and his wife next. To see where the ugliness of that redneck kid comes from.

Now send us back all of our money and the kid won't be so ugly to me.
