Farago is a complete buffoon, and his site is a pathetic waste of bandwidth. It is one thing to trash a car tastefully, but the level Farago stoops to is unprecedented. His reviews are juvenile at best, and it seems that he acquired his vocabulary from his eleven year old. I have never read a less professional review of a car, or anything else, in my entire life. It is not just the B9 review, take a look at the other reviews where he speaks of “[t]esticle size,” and uses other bizarre analogies in his reviews. From the writing I would have guessed that Farago is a teenager going through puberty. In his bio he claims that his reviews are published in the San Francisco Chronicle - time to cancel my subscription, I will not support a paper that pays this tool.

While he's wrong about autos being better than manuals, he is right about them replacing manuals completly in the next 10 to 15 years or so. The manual as we know it will cease to exist. :(

WRONG!! The consumer gets what the consumer demands. As long as we demand manuals, we'll get them. I for one don't intend to be the old man driving an automatic boat. I'll drive a manual for as long as my body will allow.

I dunno. The way sequential shift gear boxes are going, and how much FASTER they are than manuals.... I don't know. I don't find that statement to be completely without truth.

If it is faster and better, why are you NOT doing it? Unpolluted driving experience is one thing, but better performing is another all together. That, and when the Mfg gets to decide how/when the car is shifted, they will be all over that.

Yes, some manuals are more expensive than the stock auto counterparts. This is just supply and demand for that car.

Yes, faster than manuals, but more enjoyable? Not yet for sure. Right now it is the technology (which is gaining quickly) and price. I believe that the hardcore folks will get older and the newer generation that doesn't even know how to drive a manual will take over....so autos will win overall. I am just being optimistic that manuals will still be available..
