Just wondering because there is a lot of names that might have a story/meaning behind them. ;)
Here is my explanation. It was also my screen name at teamfc3s.org

turbokill

I believe this topic/thread was started a while back but....

turbokill: Initially, I was thinking the name turbokill would be interpreted like "buzzkill", meaning that when my forced induction subaru owned the N/A RSX or civic or whatever, they would get the buzzkill feeling, or the turbokill feeling....

eurojax

Counter-Strike nickname:

Pvt. Daniel Jackson from Saving Private Ryan -> Pvt. Jackson-> Jackson -> Jax

Then I started using european weapons in matches, something people didn't do, and I got really good with them. So I changed my name to eurojax, and it stuck since.

I've always had 4wheel drive cars mostly Subarus. My screen name was kinda to stick it to those who have no traction in winter (fwd, rwd). So, get a grip, get all wheel drive!!

Resbum
09-01-2005, 01:00 PM
In the 90's I was in the Air Force Reserves. There was enough work in my squadron that I could do it full-time. A Reservist that does it full-time is known as a Bum. Hence, Resbum. This originally started out as a Hotmail tag, but it's stuck ever since.

Been using this name Mavrik since ICQ first came out lol... been using it as forum sign ins ever since.

yes, but what does it mean?? because your name certainly is NOT Mavrik. lol.

trdvibe= TRD (Toyota Racing Development) + Vibe (previous car made by Toyota)
it's just easier to keep the same name on all the forums than try and think/remember something different.

Mavrik

Well no meaning as I certainly could care less about the "meaning" of Mavrick. as you notice, I don't have the C in there and thats on purpose. Its just a name I've been using on forums, along with Eyes Only, an old one I used. Where it comes from, nothing in particular lol.

Umm, when living in Alaska I was from Oklahoma and drove a '99 Subaru RS 2.5.

Basically I didn't use any of my normal forum names for fear of posts like this where I would have to explain my name and would have no idea where to start.

Anyone recall the tv show M.A.S.H.?

There are two episodes (one where Radar is mailing a jeep home piece by piece). Another where Klinger is eating a jeep so that he can get his section 8.

The "eat" doesn't really come from that. At times, I felt like tuning the WRX (in those UTEC days), ate my time. And then getting on these forums, it's like eating, sleeping, drinking "wrx" all the time.

I also was lacking imagination. The day I picked my screen name I had just finished 6 hours work patching holes in a set of leaky aircraft floats. The floats were Edo 2000's.

Actually, that's kinda cool in a way. I'd never have guessed that. I suppose the non-cool part of it is that you remember those dang leaky floats everytime you sign in. :D

Good memories, actually, since the repair worked way better than I thought it would - on a tip from a buddy, I put beads of automotive urethane glue (used to install windshields) on OUTSIDE of the leaky seams. I never imagined that glue would stay on through all of the pounding the floats take, but they are staying tight and dry. So far. :)

I got a couple i get trx from my halo name Tricks or Trix. And dam is dem or them or DAAAAYYUUMM. Love fooling the local ricers with my wagon they come roll up next to me with their exhaust and im like haha your car is slow, and they laugh and say i have a wagon and they rev and spin the tires and my tires just bite the road and i go flyin away from them. I also used to have Stratdam which used to be Stratus, thats what i used to drive and dam like DAAAAYUUMM that looks nice and sounds so freakin gooood. And i used to beat the local ricers in a decent looking domestic grocery getter that had a exhaust. But what is REALLY funny is a stratus whoopin the crap out of a porsche carrera 4, my buddy in california had a stratus turning about 400 whp and the wieght dropped down to 2600 lbs and a 5speed stick u dont know how embarrsing it is to anything you call a sports car pulls up next to it and gets raped.

I was going to take my name from that show to, but OriginalCindy and IWantToSinkMyTeethIntoJessicaAlbasAss were both taken.

So I went with the standby--Orion for two reasons, I'm a hunter (know your mythology?) and I love astronomy...Orion happens to be my favorite constellation because of the story, it's easy to see in AK (all of the north, really, even on full-moon nights) and the things that make it up--especially once you get a scope on them.

AK, well...yeah.

Oh, and M*A*S*H* rules!

Mines from Method Man. I use to go by Meth as a sn in online games/forums but most of the time it would be taken. So I did the next best thing. His name was Silas in the movie "How High" I thought that sounded pretty coo so I used that and made my own version :)
