I think I'm going to drink a bottle of Nyquil and go to sleep now, just put 110 miles on my car, up and down glenn and ran hiland rd about four times, considerably quicker this time than stock, car runs effortlessly:D. It doesn't even feel like the same car, now I think I need a utec. :devil:

i got the SS done without lifting the car, lets say dental floss sucks for pulling on the reverse lock out cable... i thought i could try getting the bushings without removing the cross memeber, but my hands are too big to fit in that little space. maybe if i take the exhaust off.

anyways, im in no rush to get em on. kinda wanted to get a feel with just the SS. if you are free next weekened jerry, we could do it then. thanks!

OMG! sorry to hear it took so long! you guys were nuts working on all those cars and parts/upgrades at once!

jerry, let me tell you that uppipe made a big difference on acceleration! we drove out to Girdwood this weekend (anniversary) and wow! it was FUN! :D no more lurch at 1-2. thanks again!

overall this weekend went well, well into the night that is:D

we'll have to do it again soon, since summer is ending. in winter it will be one car at a time.

hope, good to hear the results on the uppipe, you have the first leg automatic I've installed one on. I wasn't sure if the gain would be all the way through or just initial at take off. now you can rent your uppipe gutting tools to pay for them:D

ya, it would have been a lot easier if the drill bits were MUCH larger! or we had some way to clamp that uppipe down while we gutted it.

ha ha ha! well, you did a great job with that uppipe, jerry. thank you again! :) and i believe auto-x is sunday and the drag racing is on saturday. so don't think you'll take away from that really. we'll try and come over to help out probably. i don't think we have anything going on.

on a different note, do you know how to remove all the plastic interior parts in the LGT? i want to paint those this winter, cover up the scratches, etc.

Huh? MBC, noooooo, I got it in the mail, it said MBC, figured I'd give it a shot. LOL.. j/k, yes have researched it. still undecided to put it in yet, would be helpful to have working boost gauge. (loooong story, but basically boost gauge shares LCD panel slot with "emergency/information" symbols (low gas, brake pads, washer fluid)

hey jerry, are you pretty good at tinting windows?

well not too bad, but I usually have a flaw or two. I can't do the rear window either because I don't have a heat gun. and if I did have a heat gun I would probably have to pratice a few times. tinting is really easy, just a lot of technique involved. I'll be doing both my cars and maybe one more tonight. I'm running to walmart to get tint right now, so I may not be back until 6 or so.

mike we could slap those bushings in too. since you have fisherman hands lol.



anyway I'll be out and about for an hour or so, so if you read this wait until 6 or 7 to come over. dvd's/ ps2 games/ food/ beer/ fireworks are all welcome. well maybe not the last one.....

Jerry, you're the man! Thanks for the help with the boost guage wiring, I now have a functioning/dimming boost guage. I picked up a 't' from schucks and it seems to be working as it should. I'm surprised at the amount of boost this car allows (stock) in 2nd gear :)

First thing's first Hope! I recomend you look for one with red ilumination, mine is kinda white/yellow and it looks a little off in contrast to the tach and speedo.

you'd have to find the right size and buy a superwhite/xenon to whiten things up. the red will also change the way you want it to. not sure if they have the right size though, might have to mod it to fit.
