Or am I confused?

It says the STI (no longer STi) has the new air pump to negate the need for an up-pipe, with no mention of the '06 WRX having no up-pipe.

It says both the WRX and the STI have front LSD.

It says both the WRX and STI exhausts have "all four equal-length pipes expelling gas out of the combustion chambers." :( -- I hope this one's false. I remember reading something about this for the N/A models but didn't think it extended to the WRX and STI.

"The STI also has an extra radiator underhood for the turbo's watercoolers."

No they are very confused.

STI - no air pump
WRX - Air pump

No equal length on USDM WRX or STI

STI extra Rad for Turbo - Not 100% sure, but I don't think this is so either....

They're confused. It happens, even the makers get confused. I recently saw a Cobalt advertisement that said it has a rear LSD. Hmmmmm.

I wonder where they got their information from...

What does Subies website say about the oil cooler/wet intercooler? What about equal length exhaust on the WRX 2.5L

the 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt 2dr Coupe SS Supercharged does get Rear LSD if you opt for the Performance Package (Limited-Slip Differential .•Recaro Front Bucket Seats .•Leather-Accented Seat Trim )

Uhh... since when was the Cobalt RWD? No power to the rear wheels means no need for a rear differential.

That Autoweek also had an article on the new Z06. Seems to me the STI and Z06 have to be the best high performance values of any cars available (I guess along with the EVO too). Incredible performance, and each car is unique .

Autoweek has an interesting tendency to get things a bit screwy. :D Publishing weekly I guess means they have to let go a few editors and continuity experts...

Auto journalists are like weather forecasters, they get paid no matter what the level of accuracy.

Some of the stuff I read, even in main stream publications gives me a headache, you know it is not correct.

With the Z06 clocking in at around $70,000, it's a value not very attainable for most....

for it's level of performance...the Z06 is a steal...it's the way the EVO and STI are to say an S4 or or M3...To get the Z06 performance you will have to mod a Viper or look towards cars on the other side of the $100k mark and some cars closer to $200k.

Or the insurance on that thing!
