I'm going to do it myself, of course... but was just wondering if anyone paid the dealer for it and knows how much it was?
I'm planning on changing
mobil 1 + pure one
engine & cabin filter
iridium plugs
coolant
fuel filter
brake fluid
my cost looks around 150ish

My dealership charges $800+ dollars for their 30k service. This is higher than anything else I"ve seen (I've seen mostly between $300-500). Rediculous!

My dealership charges $800+ dollars for their 30k service. This is higher than anything else I"ve seen (I've seen mostly between $300-500). Rediculous! If they quote you $800+ for ANY major maintenance service (no matter it is 30k, 60k, 90k, etc), say "No, thanks" to them.

Dealers always like to add their own "menu" of unnecessary services to boost their profit. If you choose to have a dealer perform the service for you, bring the service schedule from the manual with you, or print it out from the Subaru website, and insist on ONLY the services recommended by Subaru at that particular mileage. Don't let them talk you into other stuff like fuel system cleaning, oil flush etc. that you do not need and that is not recommended anywhere by the manufacturer. If the price quoted is still too high even with the correct services being done, take it to an independent shop or consider doing some or all of the work yourself.

mine was $440.00 and then I had a 10% off coupon. There was a lot of other stuff on there I should have complained about, but i woosed out. Stupid Stupid Stupid. I should've gotten another 30 bucks off of that.
