I'm coming up on 30k miles on my 04 WRX and Im looking at the service schedule and being curious. What is involved with inspecting operation of clutch system and steering/suspension system, and checking parking brake operation? My clutch works fine, and the car steers and suspends fine, I just flushed and bled the brakes, so it stops fine too. The engine runs like a top, only problem is the 4th gear grind and wobbly brakes. I am going to change all the fluids, rotate the tires, change filters and such like I usually do, but is all this inspection stuff something I should just take it in for, so Subaru has it documented? My 4th gear grind and my brake pedal wobble are going to make me take it in for attempted warranty work anyway. Only mods are uppipe, 3rd cat elim, Stromung muffler.

I don't know about clutch etc, but I think inspection of steering and suspension is probably a matter of checking over the bolts to make sure they're all tight, checking that rubber boots are all intact and in-place, and looking for leaking fluids or grease.
I'm not a mechanic, so take that with a grain of salt, but it's what I do.
You may also want to check brake pad wear and obvious stuff like that.

3. Inspect rear arch height
4. Check wheel alignment of front and rear
5. Check for oil leakage at shocks and struts
6. Check bolts and nuts on front and rear suspension for tightness
7. Check for damage to suspension parts
Steering
1. Check steering wheel play
2. If play is excessive, check steering shaft joint
3. Check for looseness of steering rack when turning wheel
4. Check boots for damage
5. Check tie rod
6. Check PS fluid level
7. Check for leaks of fluid throughout system
8. Check hoses (soft and hard) for damage/corrosion
9. Check bolts for tightness in the system.
Clutch
1. Inspect and adjust
