MY 99 and up RS's (not 02s, though.... I think)
Front bumper intake on BRP cars is all blue, but on every other color (SRP and white for sure), it is two tone (the back of the intake being black). Weird.... Noticed it at an autox couple of weeks ago...

what do you mean by front bumper intake? The little plastic grilles under the turn signals? Those are orange. The hole in front of the radiator?

Yeah, I know whay you're talking about.. The little "grille" in front of the radiator in the front bumper? My car is silver, the "grille" is black, I saw a BRP the other day, the "grille" was painted body color.. Wonder why??...

Thats weird, we here in AZ were just talking about this very thing at the last Auto-X. I wonder why that is?
For anyone who doesnt know, if you have the BRP newer bumper, the license plate mounting point in the front, and the inner part of the lower air intake is color matched BRP, but for everyone else, it is flat black.
Weird.
Mike
Yeah, exactly. It's funny that nobody (to my knowledge) ever posted about this.

Yeah I noticed that on Greg's car. Why did they do that? I think the BRP cars were the last cars to be made in 2000 and 2001...

I believe 2000 BRP were all black in the inside as well. I know I've seen BRP cars with black inside the bumper.
my 01 is blue all the way though.

Yeah, I personally think that the light colored cars look kinda' cool with the black. It might look cool if the black trim on the rocker panels was silver along with the grille, but that's just what I think. Doesn't make much sense to me..
Darwin:
Nope, mine is '00 BRP... and it's true blue, through and through....
No black....
