So has anyone done any serious na baja tuning. I'd love to know what people have done. I'm about to embark on my tuning journey, and it seems most of the real tweakers are tuning the turbo. I have a 2k3 auto baja, and want to push it to the limit. been doing a lot of research through the various forums, and it seems like most of the na impreza stuff is applicable to the baja. I'd love to know how much others have done. So far, besides the audio upgrades, and cosmetics upgrades, I'm about to swap out the air intake for the "secret weapon". I'm looking to eventually do the headers back, the piggy back ecu, pullys and maybe the fuel injectors. Anyone already do this? On an automatic?

in school right now, but I am working with a company that makes turbo's (nice kit for only 3 k, will work for auto's) Cams are a nice upgrade from TWE.

Ok well here is the website http://www.forcedairtech.com/
They have some really nice safe kits for awesome power. Robert will take care of ya. Whenever I get the mullah together I am going to buy a kit. College and school are killing me right now.

I quote from him "We do have a kit for you automatic baja. It is basically the same kit as the RS as they both have the same powerplant. We have done a few of these kits and it makes it one amazing driving truck."

The stage 1 kit will give you an extra 60 to 80 HP and stage two (intercooler included) will give you an extra 80 to 100 hp!

Just plan ahead and get your exhaust redone (2.50 dia)

you can also make one really KICK ASS N/A baja if you have the money.

Results can be like this

Mods for that kind of fun:
TechWorks Stage II Cylinder Head Package, TechWorks SuperStock Header, Random Tech Super High-Flow Cat, TechWorks HighOutput Mid-Pipe with Resonator, TechWorks High Output Stainless Steel Muffler, PRM Intake

Just to give you an idea what it costs for a nice N/A buildup....lets just say a Stage 1 head package costs $2553.99US. but that includes Disassembly and cleaning
Port refinishing and bowl contouring
Custom 5-angle Valve Seat Machining
Hand Blending of the Port/Valve Seat Juncture
Combustion Chamber Cleaning
Valve resurfacing using the ‘center-less’ method which also measures the stem and head run-outs to 0.0004”, Valves are replaced if this run-out is exceeded
Milling of the cylinder head (depth is appropriate for application and combustion chamber work)
Camshafts (DOHC Stage I, SOHC Stage II)
Heavy Duty Valve Springs (SOHC only)
New Subaru Valve Seals
New Subaru Cam Seals
Assembly of the Cylinder Head
Setting of the Valve Lash

You get what you pay for. I personally would get a turbo kit though, that is personally the route I am going. I have looked at the pros and cons of both. Just plan to spend 3+ grand either way

So I'd like to revist this if possible. What has anyone done any NA tuning on an Automatic baja. Can I get the TWE equal length headers for my car? I have a 2003 Baja. Looking to get the most out of what I got. Hear that you get more power out of the tuned headers. The applications I see are for a manual transmission. Anyone tweaked a NA auto baja?

how many people are running that turbo kit?

looks kinda sketchy... the NA motors DONT like boost, pistons get all melty. At least its only 5 psi.

look in the NA forums here, almost anything on an RS will work onthe NA baja motor.

FYI for the price you are going to pay for real performance out of an NA build up on the EJ25, you can pretty much get a WRX swap done. It would be alittle more diffircult cause as far as i know there arent any bajas that have done it so you could do the wiring yourself and teach everyone.

as 2003 baja points out TWE is a good place to go for serious NA stuff, so is cobb.
