I plan to switch to synthetic oil for my WRX's next oil change. Do I have to do anything prior to switching or do I just drain the old and pour in the new?

New oil filter doesn't hurt either ;) I'm sure you new that though.

How many miles are on the car? We don't normally recommend switching to synthetic until at least 10,000 miles. Just to let everything break in properly.
